Happy to share my warm up set for Hernan Cattaneo from August 26th 2023.


This was a special set for me and I hope you enjoy the build up into what was an amazing evening.

Due to some technical/logistical reasons when the boat was docked, I had to switch the music off at the 1 hour and 7 minute mark. Resumed after we left the docks so I did my best to stitch the post recording in a way where the listener gets to enjoy the whole set as a journey.

Considering his more than 30 years of experience in electronic music, it’s safe to say that Pablo De Mattei AKA PAUL (AR), knows a thing or two about dance music. It's evident in his bookings: From Lollapalooza to Creamfields to Moonpark, there aren’t many Argentinean music festivals that haven’t featured Paul (AR) on their stages. He defines his style as a mixture of Progressive and Tech House, a style that has taken him across the globe from Spain to Peru. Labels from Sudbeat to Perfecto has featured his work, and he was most recently seen on Balance Music through his contribution to the 'Balance presents Dave Seaman and Quivver' compilation.

Featuring a host of unofficial Paul (AR) remixes of acts like James Zabiela and Way Out West, alongside original tracks from Nicolas Rada, Dmitry Molosh, and more, the Argentinean delivers a delightful 90 minutes of progressive music suitable for any occasion.

Oklahoma City-based 80 Days found his way to music after life took an unexpected turn. Once a wrestler, he shifted gears after an injury and poured his energy into producing and DJing, now helping shape the growing dance scene in his hometown.

For our next release we are treated with a diverse 4-track EP by Ghettofaust. After his first appearance on the label last month we are excited to announce his 'End Of The Earth' EP. A diverse yet synth-driven EP showcasing the diversity Ghettofaust is capable of. Starting off we have 'Zugzwang', a mellow dub-infused groovy house track. Following is the title track 'End Of The Earth'. Spooky pads, classic house stabs & a solid warm bassline, the perfect recipe for a proper house record. Diving deeper into the EP we are greeted by the synth-infused techno track 'Mea Culpa'. A bit reminiscent of older Vince Watson productions, the tune layers a lot of different elements together creating an atmospheric & melodic rhythmic record, the true definer of Ghettofaust's style & abilities. Rounding off the EP we stay in the techno area with 'Feierabend'. Proper grooves, dubby stabs and a latin guitar to give the track an unusual twist. 'End Of The Earth' is out on all major platforms on the 29th of August.

Alain Pauwels is a progressive house dj/producer based near Antwerp, Belgium.
Led by a profound love for electronical music, surrounded by passionate professionals, practitioners and a supportive progressive house family, Alain has been driven to share his passion of mixing sublime tracks and to bring joy across all boundaries.
Inspired by pioneers in the scene such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Marcelo Vasami amongst others and many well-respected labels, Alain started to dedicate himself in creating uplifting progressive house mixing, with an occasional flavor of deep house, organic house and melodic techno.
As from end-2018 Alain has his own ‘PROGRESSIVA’ show on Proton Radio, a US based digital radio station which also runs its own record label. Alain invites every month an international artist to provide a guest mix for the show. Alain also has residency on XBeat Radio, a French/Belgian digital radio station, providing his monthly ‘Elements’ podcast. 
His live dj performing path re-started mid-2019, after a sabbatical of nearly 20 years coming from the vinyl age. In that same year he became, and till date still is, resident at the Connecting Souls nights by Clay van Dijk. Ever since Alain has performed in clubs and on events where he shared the decks with Hermanez, Eran Aviner, Madloch, Lost Desert, Kasper Koman, Nicolas Rada, Marcelo Vasami, Alex O'Rion, Dmitry Molosh, Danny Howells and Eichenbaum amongst others.
As from end-2019 Alain has started a collaboration with French producer Arnold Toutain, which resulted till date in productions which are released on Nature Rec, Musique de Lune, Future Avenue, 3rd Avenue and INTU Music. Each release has been supported by ‘El Maestro’ Hernan Cattaneo and many other well-respected artists in the community. Alain has started as well a collaboration with Argentinian dj/producer Valen Gonzalez, receiving already early support in these and released on onedotsixtwo, LuPS and Mango Alley.
Watch out for Alain as the coming years will bring more new music and gigs, which makes him here to stay!
