It's been a long while since I have done a circuit set, but with summer just around the corner, and life returning to some resemblance of normal finally, I think something upbeat and high energy is just what we need!

Summer Circuit 2021

Wow!  This was such a fun party and was totally unexpected.  I last minute filled in for a dj who's flight was super delayed coming into town.  This party was the official after party for Chicago's "Pride in the Park" taking place on the rooftop nightclub, Cerise, at the Virgin Hotel.  Having played the later half of the night, my set goes from a house, tech house drum and vocal groove into a super sexy and sensual afters groove for the last 20 min or so.    Thank you to everyone who attended!  It felt so good to be dj-ing to a packed room with everyone celebrating pride together after the past year we had.  Enjoy!

What a fun night this was!  I got the opportunity to close out a Boom Boom Room pop up party at Sound-Bar in Chicago.  BBR is one of Chicago's oldest house music parties, going back over three decades and featuring some of house music's most legendary artists.  I feel blessed and super appreciative to be part of this long standing tradition we have here in the good ole Windy City.   Thank you to everyone who came out and I hope you enjoy the set!

This is the 3rd installation of "This is Me Xxposed" and oh this was a fun one to put together.   If you like your sets dark, hard, and sexy...vol 3 is for you! IML finally is back and how else to welcome this Chicago weekend tradition back post pandemic than by having double the trouble on the decks!   My dj big sis, Deanne, and I went back to back for a seven hour extended set that was jam packed with everything you could ask for at a Monday morning afterhours. I was fortunate enough to play at Anomaly afterhours in Minneapolis over St. Patricks Day weekend and omg I had so much fun!  This set is a 3 hour condensed set of the 5 hours I played with tracks in the proper order and ones featured on other podcasts removed without compromising the feel of the set as a whole.    Thank you to everyone who came out to support this event and to the two event producers who put together such a great event!

Recorded LIve at Charlie's Chicago, this set takes you on a late night primetime into afterhours journey (gay club style).   This recording starts off a bit circuity and commercial  eventually going into a portion of my set from Neverland Chicago Pride then ending into a sexy afterhours groove.....There is new mixed with old mixed with new retakes of favorites and throwbacks. This is pure filth dirty beats that will work you into a frenzy....I took no prisoners and gave zero f-cks on this one.   I had four CDJs to work with so lots of layering and looping going on in this one with surprises around every corner....Enjoy!

Happily NVR Afters IML Live

Every Sunday I am in Chicago, I dj at Steamworks from 2-8pm for a weekly event called Sunday Service!  during these sets, everything i play is dark, drum filled,  and sexy.    Think tribal underground meets techno and tech house with a touch of bathhouse sketch.    During these sets I test out a lot of tracks that you might hear me play at afterhours and then there are those tracks strictly for this!   I was feeling really creative and really working them loops and layering and it turned out really well.....so i present to you 4.5 hours of my six hour set from the July 8th Sunday Service!   Lots of old school classics meets new in this set too!  This is not for the faint of heart!   Enjoy!

This is part 1 of my set at the Happily NVR Afters afterhours party Monday morning of Market Days Weekend in Chicago, IL.    I was honored to be able to share the morning with the amazing DJ Mohammad who was absolutely amazing and got everyone dancing right off the bat.   My set continues the energy he built and gradually goes into a dirty dirty techy tribally circuit-ish sound.  Part 2 takes that noise and goes into a sexy groovy tech beat into a nice soft landing to end the weekend right!  Enjoy!

Happily NVR Afters LIve Market Days 2018 Part 1

I am super honored that I was asked to dj the first ever After-thots monday morning afterhours in the underground level at the Jackhammer Complex in Chicago.   My partner in crime was none other than the super talented Karsten Sollors who set the tone and got things going right from the start at 7am.    I took over midway at 10 am.  What you have hear is my set from about 10:30am till close at 1pm.   This set is tech house, techno, and tribal house based....very little if any circuit is in here....some old school favorites that drives the energy up but keeps it with the dark sexy vibe that I love about afterhours.    Later in my set I toy around with some melodic house for a very cool wind down that I think gives this set specifically a unique touch.     Enjoy!

I have never had more people ask me to post a set before this one.   So by popular demand, the people have spoken, and I have listened...here is my set from Neverland's 7th Annual Purity Ball White Party with the amazing DJ Abel.    This set includes a little bit of everything including a nice emotional and dramatic filled portion featuring works by Chris Sammarco, David Morales, and Brett Oosterhaus which leads up to the Dance Naked acapella intro for the first dancer set of the night (an ode to the old school Club69 house music era)  I have to say these dancers looked absolutely amazing so congrats to Martin Luna and his team for putting them together so beautifully!   Normally I edit out the dancer intros but this time I decided to keep it!  This was definitely a favorite party to play and to all those that attended and everyone that worked to make this happen....thank you thank you thank you!

Here is 2.5 hours of my 4 hour set at After-thots Afterhours on MLK Monday Morning 2019!   This is straight up a tech house, tribal house, and techno set....but just because there isnt circuit doesn't mean that it won't get your heart pumping and feet moving! I have a real treat for you and its something different than the usual circuit and afterhours!  I had the privilege to dj at Blondie's Puerto Vallarta for the Bear Trap Tea Dance by Brian Kent Productions!   What a fun time.   Picture this setting....a super chic looking loft space on the second floor of a building, windows from almost floor to ceiling are wide open with sun setting across the Pacific ocean horizon...sky turning into a bright orange....light ocean breeze...a room full of bears sipping on delicious drinks of all kinds....this called for a traditional tea dance type set....no circuit here....all vocals...some mixes with smidges of disco and 80s in there along with some new hot grooves.....The room absolutely loved it so I am sure you will too!

Here is the laat two hours of my opening set at the Neverland Matador Party at Fantasy Nightclub in Chicago, IL. where I also shared the dj booth with the one and only Tom Stephan.    LOTS of drums in here,  plenty of vocals, and of course the last 20 minutes  is where I really bring the Matador theme to life  (at the party its the first reveal of our dancers that are decked out and styled by Martin Luna).  I had so much fun playing this set especially since this was the first time I ever played in a dj booth that was in the middle of the dance floor!   The energy literally was surrounding me at all times!  Thank you to everybody who came and who helped make this party a huge success!

Here is about two hours of my 6 hour set from Happily NVR Afters which took place Memorial Day Monday morning starting at 7am during International Mister Leather (IML) weekend.   This set was soooo much fun to play.  I got to keep the beats dark, dirty and hard!   Very minimal on vocals here!  This one is not for the faint of heart haha!

Everyone from all over the country danced from 7am-1pm on Monday morning drenched in their own sweat and not caring about it whatsoever.   This event will always be a memorable highlight of my career.   I cannot say thank you enough to everyone who made this possible!

It has been long overdue that I have a set from one of my nights at The Saloon up on social media but I finally made it happen!  Here is an hour and 45 minutes of my set from New Years Eve at one of my favorite places of all time to play at!   I absolutely love going to Minneapolis and I cannot wait to be back! This Is Me Xxposed Vol 1

DJ Alex Cabot in a short time has taken Chicago by storm. Fusing tribal, classic house, techno, tech house, and even circuit and progressive with sexy vocals and influences of Afro-Caribbean, Latin, Soul, Disco, and Jazz, Alex brings his crowd on an emotional and dramatic journey that keeps their heart pumping and body moving all night long. He finds musical inspiration from house music legends like Ralphi Rosario, Chus and Ceballos, Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer, and Junior Vasquez as well as tracks from various artists from all parts of the world in order to give his sets a sense of cultural diversity.  Currently spinning in both the "gay" and "straight" scenes of Chicago, DJ Alex Cabot aims to have music to be all inclusive and welcoming of all audiences using his art as a way of bridging gaps within nightlife social settings.
Alex learned how to dj through working in Miami Beach, FL as a lighting operator for various nightclub venues. His experience with lights has taught him how to have greater room awareness and crowd control, and as a dj, Alex brings those skill sets to the booth using his music to effectively control, manipulate, and influence the energy and mood of the room in order to truly create a profound dance music experience.

Alex currently retains residencies with Charlie's Chicago and his Sunday Service event at Steamworks Chicago.  Events he has played at have included Neverland for Chicago Market Days and Pride along side Alex Acosta and DJ Paulo, , Black and Blue Ball 2016 with Tom Stephan, opened for both Robbie Rivera and Roger Sanchez at Annex Nightclub, La Puta Nota Afterhours in Miami, CLAW (Cleveland leather weekend), Daybreak Afterhours for Chicago Market Days, and SLAY at the Monster Bar Manhattan in NYC.  Other venues on his dj resume include Hydrate Chicago and Manhole Chicago.  He is also involved in various community organizations and philanthropic efforts.
