Hey Guys!
Here is a recoding of my performance from this past weekend! It's a bit special to me as this is my first live performance back in a club since the quarantine shut downs! For lack of a better term it was a magical moment! So I'm happy to share a piece of that night with you here. It's a little longer than my usual posts but I had lots of requests to post the night. Thanks to all who were able to make it out and renew my passion for this craft I love! Hope you enjoy! And here's to hoping things keep getting better so we can get back to a new normal! We still are fighting, but so much has improved, but still so much to do. World Pride NYC this year is econic for the gay community. We must continue to fight for our rights all over the world, and also, between us (respect one another, do not judge, LOVE!!)

This podcast I made thinking about our music, were it was and how it is now, but trying to stay true to my roots and to the NYC sound. Here is almost 3 hours out of the 7 hour set I did at Happily NVR afters for Market Days 2019.   Words cannot describe what an amazing party this was!  Everyone from all over the country danced from 7am-1pm on Monday morning drenched in their own sweat and not caring about it whatsoever. DJ Alex Cabot in a short time has taken Chicago by storm. Fusing tribal, classic house, techno, tech house, and even circuit and progressive with sexy vocals and influences of Afro-Caribbean, Latin, Soul, Disco, and Jazz, Alex brings his crowd on an emotional and dramatic journey that keeps their heart pumping and body moving all night long. He finds musical inspiration from house music legends like Ralphi Rosario, Chus and Ceballos, Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer, and Junior Vasquez as well as tracks from various artists from all parts of the world in order to give his sets a sense of cultural diversity.  Currently spinning in both the "gay" and "straight" scenes of Chicago, DJ Alex Cabot aims to have music to be all inclusive and welcoming of all audiences using his art as a way of bridging gaps within nightlife social settings.
Alex learned how to dj through working in Miami Beach, FL as a lighting operator for various nightclub venues. His experience with lights has taught him how to have greater room awareness and crowd control, and as a dj, Alex brings those skill sets to the booth using his music to effectively control, manipulate, and influence the energy and mood of the room in order to truly create a profound dance music experience.

Alex currently retains residencies with Charlie's Chicago and his Sunday Service event at Steamworks Chicago.  Events he has played at have included Neverland for Chicago Market Days and Pride along side Alex Acosta and DJ Paulo, , Black and Blue Ball 2016 with Tom Stephan, opened for both Robbie Rivera and Roger Sanchez at Annex Nightclub, La Puta Nota Afterhours in Miami, CLAW (Cleveland leather weekend), Daybreak Afterhours for Chicago Market Days, and SLAY at the Monster Bar Manhattan in NYC.  Other venues on his dj resume include Hydrate Chicago and Manhole Chicago.  He is also involved in various community organizations and philanthropic efforts.
