The Vendetta Suite (@vendetta-suite) is one of Belfast's most seasoned producers, often spotted serving up dubbed out sounds on Italian Hell Yeah! Recordings. Having cut his teeth as engineer for the legendary David Holmes, his ability to turn heads in the studio comes as no surprise. 🌙

Here he contributes two hours of pre-summer bliss, with obscure 80's and modern balearic influenced goodness giving us a glimmer of optimism for a return to dancing in the open air. 💛

“Zernell was born in Chicago and started DJing at the age of 14. This was during the early years of house music and like a lot of Chicago teens he religiously listened to the Hot Mix 5 on WBMX. Zernell musically grew up in the Music Box and other Chicago clubs listening to the sounds of Ron Hardy and other early pioneers of house music and was schooled by the masters in the art of song selection and timing that drives dancers into a frenzy. Zernell’s Grimy style of music features some of the hottest and rarest house & disco songs and re-edits mixed just the right way to keep you dancing and wanting more, which has made Zernell one of the hottest dj’s in the underground scene today.

Zernell has done numerous parties in cities around the globe. He has toured the U.K. and Europe and headlined parties in London, The Netherlands,
Italy, Sweden, France, Switzerland & Germany. Zernell’s passion for disco & house is as strong as it was in the 80’s and reflects in his extensive record collection of rare vinyl. Out of that passion Zernell created the label Grimy Edits, which have sold thousands of units worldwide.

Zernell Gillie's style can range from the heart of disco to the soul of Chicago house with a grimy twist. With over 30 years of Deejaying under his belt, it shows in all of his mixes & live performances. He heads the highly sought after record label Grimy Edits & the sister label Grimy Trax. David Pradera also known as Deenamic is a DJ and Producer from Madrid.

He was heavily influenced by the musicians that surrounded his family, very early on he developed a deep love for music production and a passion in record collecting.

He has been involved in Madrid´s underground music scene since 2002 and experimented during this early stage with many different musical styles. In 2010, while living in London he hooked up with a lifelong D&B producer from the UK who ignited his interest in the soulful sounds of Drum & Bass. It will be a shortly time later (2012) when some of his tracks were released on labels like LTJ Bukem´s Goodlooking Records or Phuzion under his old moniker.

In 2019, already under his new alias Deenamic, he focused on the deep side of House and Brokenbeat and released ‘First Inversion EP’ on Freebeat Records which caught the attention of labels such as Volcov´s Neroli or Visions Recordings where he has released another 4 tracks EP called ‘Out of my mind’ (2020), a 7” special edition or a Various artists compilation (2021).
                                                     
At present, he is working on a new album and he also hosts a radio show called ’Back & Forth’ on Universal Rhythms where he blends an eclectic mix of his musical influences and explores a wide range of sounds from around the globe.

Jerome Derradji is a producer, DJ, compiler and operator of the legendary Chicago label Still Music, and its subdivisions Past Due Records, Still Techno and Stilove4music. The labels have been going since 2004, and have featured stellar contemporary releases, deep dives into undersung labels and producers, and holy grail reissues. It's an honour to have Jerome jump on our final guest mix for the year. Here, Jerome shares a mix comprising current favorites and some absolute classics sprinkled with a few of his label's joints here and there. Found this in the archives, really great interview with DJ/Remixer Victor Rosado when he was about to play in Ireland back in 2011. Very in depth discussion on The Loft, David Mancuso R.I.P and Larry Levan Paradise Garage. Victor paints a true visual picture of what the PG and loft were like and how both David and Larry played music. Essential listening to someone who played at The Loft and Closing months of the Garage with Larry and their friendship that ensued.
