Born as the need of Costa Pirata Music Studio to create an event to display the art created by their community of artists, AfroTican Vibes became an actual cultural movement making honor to all those Afro influences that mix with the Costa Rican way of life. Making emphasis in genres of African descent like Afrobeats and Amapiano among others, AfroTican Vibes provides a stream of fresh and vibrant new sounds to the Costa Rican music an party scene. On this profile you'll be able to listen to specially crafted mixes created by the DJs you'll find at our events that will comply and please your Afro Sound demands.

DJ El Niño, affectionately known as "El Niño," is a DJ like no other, not only because of his unique skills and trajectory but also because of his tremendous knowledge of the world's music catalog. He was raised in the Bronx by his parents, from the Dominican Republic, a country known for its cultural foothold of hot Latin sounds. El Niño discovered his love and connection with music at a very early age. His vast exposure to different genres and sounds allowed him to embrace other cultures, which was instrumental in harvesting an eclectic source of influences. Alongside musicianship, El Niño's positive attitude and resilience have led him to perform at some of the world's top venues. He continues to innovate and maintain an impeccable reputation delivering timeless performances at renowned venues such as Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos in the US and Estadio Pascual Guerrero in Colombia, Where he performed for crowds in excess of 50,000.

As the music industry continues to evolve and Latin urban music continues to overtake the throne as the number one genre in the world, El Niño continues to cultivate the DJ culture by maintaining on course with his mission of creating memorable and epic moments via his music.

Started in 2006 at The University At Buffalo. I started this DJ journey after seeing a producer DJ in the studio with a bunch of T-Pain records, I just became hooked. I've had a pretty fun career so far playing in multiple countries such as Trinidad, Bermuda, United Kingdom, Italy, & Tanzania. Based in NYC, I've played the biggest clubs NYC has to offer. 
My style is open format, with a focus on Caribbean, Hip Hop/R&B, Top 40, & Afrobeat's. Quick mixes are my thing, leaving the listener wanting more!
