Solid Grooves unveil their 2022 'Ibiza Sampler' as Michael Bibi and PAWSA invite seven of the label's residents and regulars for a huge summer offering.

2022 is shaping up to be a year to remember for Solid Grooves as they celebrate ten years in style with a host of stand-out shows, including OFF Sonar and Kappa Futur, alongside recent appearances at Space Miami, Fabric and Printworks.

However, the crown jewel in the programming undeniably comes via their biggest Ibiza season to date. With a move to renowned institution DC10 backed by lineups stacked full of talent, the collective only adds to things on the label front as they reveal their latest summer compilation. Opening the season in style, the nine-track 'Ibiza Sampler' welcomes the arrival of a stacked V/A with fresh heat from close friends and ever-impressing regulars.

In usual fashion, co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA contribute a pair of heavily-requested signature cuts, alongside peak-time and after-hours anthems from residents Dennis Cruz, Eddy M, Reelow, Ramin Rezaie and Bassel Darwish, plus label signees Classmatic and JUST2.

Route 94 makes his Solid Grooves debut as he serves up his first original material for two years with the infectious grooves of 'Clapped'. 

Having broken through via a series of globally renowned anthems, Rowan Jones, aka Route 94, has been hard at work in the studio of late, taking time away to explore pockets of early influences across house, techno, minimal, disco and beyond. Unveiling his first original material for over two years, he makes his first appearance on Solid Grooves with his new single 'Clapped' - revealing a favourite of label co-founder PAWSA's and a staple track from his sets across the summer.

A vibrant energy-fuelled production harnessing soulful vocals, driving low-ends, skipping percussion and spiralling synths, 'Clapped' brings an abundance of vigour to showcase a production built for the peak time as Jones makes a big return in impressive fashion.

Delivering house-impact house music in his signature style for over a decade, Sidney Charles has mastered the craft of creating impactful productions that stand the test of time. And yet, the German favourite continues to evolve and build his sound - both in the studio with material released via a long-list of leading imprints and within his dynamic DJ sets across renowned institutions across the globe. Following appearances for the collective in Ibiza, the Hamburg-born talent now steps up with his first music on Solid Grooves as he reveals his latest single, 'No Way Out'.

Skippy, loaded with energy, and steeped in UK and US garage influences, the driving 'No Way Out' is a lively cut balancing soulful touches with heavy-hitting elements. Raw yet refined, it's got one of those grooves that's impossible not to move to.

Frank Storm and Francis De Simone link up on Solid Grooves for their collaborative single, 'Quarterback.'

Already home to big collaborations such as Michael Bibi & KinAhau's 'Different Side' with Audio Bullys, and the Solid Grooves founder's huge single 'Otto's Chant' with Skream, the latest release on the label welcomes a first time collaboration between two emerging Italian talents from the house landscape as Frank Storm and Francis De Simone link forces. 

Having both collaborated with a wealth of names across recent years, the two DJ/producers unite for the very first time as they both make their Solid Grooves debuts. The result is 'Quarterback', an impactful and hooky production armed with vibrant vocals, rolling percussion, and skippy grooves - showcasing a blend of the two talents' individual styles to a tee.

Two of the UK's favourite house talents, East End Dubs and Wheats have been pushing their distinctive takes on the genre to new heights of late following another non-stop summer, which included notable returns to SG's Casino Motel at DC10 for both. With the former now making his label debut on Solid Grooves Records following countless appearances for the collective to date, and the latter returning to the label for the first time since his 2021 hit 'O La', here the pair collaborate for the very first time and showcase exactly why they're both in such high demand with the release of 'Searching'.

Harnessing an infectious, warped female vocal that bounces above skippy percussion, hooky stabs, off-kilter samples and a simmering bassline that propels the track forward, 'Searching' brings the best of both artists and serves up a hotly-awaited record that's been a staple for both all summer long.

"For this fabric mix, I wanted to stay true to my vision of a DJ set: a selection blending unreleased tracks from UK producers, never-heard tunes from close friends, a few old school gems, and some fresh new releases that really speak to me.

The idea was to craft a mix I could actually play in a club. The hardest part? Trying not to get lost listening to all the unreleased stuff instead of focusing on the mix itself — so much exciting music, it was almost cruel to choose.

I recorded this mix using the Euphonia rotary mixer, which I absolutely love. It brings a different feel to the mix — smoother, deeper, more tactile.
