Gold Party 2023 - Lava Lounge

My last set at Burning Flipside 2014.  Closed down the Lava Lounge with this sunrise set.  The last song, named "Stay Inside," was playing when the first drops of what would soon be a torrential downpour began to fall on the Pecan Playa.  Maybe I should have chosen a song with a different name. :)   I would have played longer, but the rain was falling on the sound equipment and we had to put everything away.  What a great weekend it was -- one of the best in memory.  Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a magical year.

I'm so proud of Sonic Soul Tribe and all it brought to Burning Man this year, including our amazing crew party on Monday night.  I had so much fun playing an eclectic mix of tracks that sounded so good on the big SST sound stage. 

Thanks to my camp, all my friends who made it over, and all the beautiful people who stopped by to dance with us.  Seeing so many people dancing with smiles on their faces is always a magical moment for me. Y'all made my burn so special - thank you!

I did something a little out of the ordinary this year on Saturday night at 3am (technically Sunday morning) by playing a Psy-Trance set at Lava Lounge.  I had to stop about half-way through the set when rain got on my computer and made it nearly impossible to cue up tracks.  But that first 40 minutes was a lot of fun and I appreciate everyone who hung with me at around 138 BPM for so long. :)  It was a fun night!

Allegra & Hillary Housewarming 2020
