there’s a lil something in here for everyone - i absolutely love genre-bending all my favorite sounds into one place ranging from breaks, uk garage, house, hip hop, dubstep, neuro, and anything in between. 

there’s some melodic hitters, there’s some darker, more twisted dancefloor vibes, and even some phonky hip hop style beats i’ve fused with a modern twist. 
truth is: i make everything and i will never put myself in a box.

Berkey, born Ethan Berkowitz, is a deep dubstep and 140 DJ and producer from Sacramento, CA—representing the 916 with heavy bass and deeper intentions. As a proud member of Cymatics Events, he’s part of a collective dedicated to pushing the underground sound forward, creating immersive experiences for listeners and dancers alike.
Music has always been at the core of Berkey’s life. Growing up in a house full of sound, he picked up the guitar at just five years old and quickly became obsessed with expression through music. He spent his early years playing, writing, and experimenting with different genres—exploring everything from rock and blues to ambient and experimental sounds. That early passion laid the foundation for the artist he is today.
At 16, he was introduced to DJing—and that’s when everything clicked. The energy of mixing, the control of flow, the ability to connect with a crowd—it sparked a fire that’s only grown stronger. He dove deep into the craft, spending countless hours learning the ins and outs of sound design, mixing, and building a signature style rooted in heavy low-end, emotional tension, and hypnotic rhythm.
Now, at just 20, Berkey is already making waves. His sets are known for their depth, pressure, and storytelling—a blend of heady atmosphere and body-shaking weight that commands attention. Whether in a packed venue or an intimate underground, he brings intention and authenticity to every performance.
