Pacha is a lifestyle and entertainment brand which specializes in nightlife and has club franchises in a number of countries including Brazil, United States, Russia, Germany, England, Egypt, Portugal, Austria and several Spanish cities including Madrid, Valencia, Bilbao and Barcelona. 

The first Pacha club opened in the beach town of Sitges in 1967 and first expanded to Barcelona and the Catalan coast.
In Ibiza, Pacha opened a club in 1973, and then expanded into the hotel business with El Hotel Pacha.
The first Pacha club outside Spain opened in 1993 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Then in Munich in 2000. Pacha London opened in 2001 and closed in 2014.

Ricardo Urgell, born in Barcelona in 1937, is the founder of Grupo Pacha. He is the grandson of Modesto Urgell. When Urgell was twenty years old, he started a water-ski school in Sitges. 
He then opened his first bar ‘Tito’s’ in the same town. 
The name "Pachá came from a remark made by Marisa Cobos, Urgell's first wife, who told him that with the money he was going to earn, he would be living like a Pachá (an Arabian Prince). The first Pacha club was Pacha Sitges, which Urgell founded together with his brother Piti Urgell.

In 2002, the Spanish Government decided to award the Gold Medal of Merit for Tourism to Ricardo Urgell.
Pacha Ibiza opened in 1973 and is the earliest superclub in Ibiza. 
Built in Ses Feixes and facing Ibiza Town, Pacha was designed to resemble a farmhouse. The club was featured in the 2004 film It's All Gone Pete Tong and has capacity of 3,000. From 1998 to 2017, Pacha Ibiza was the venue for the DJ Awards.

Hi Everybody!! I'm sharing a recorded moment in time from 1988 I thought was lost until a friend of mine surprised me by not only telling me it was found, but if it was OK to post and  share it on Soundcloud!! She had to pull it after 2 days and 200 Downloads because it maxed he Soundcloud capability!!  lol   I'm happy to have it back and reposting it as my BDay present to all of you!! Enjoy!! I have received so many positive responses after my last Sound Factory inspired classics mix of the darker and dirtier sounds asking for a follow up. I had always wanted to do a mix with the unforgettable vocals that Jonathan used to play but the only way to appropriately pay homage to his DJ'ing style, to attempt to evoke the emotions he was able to do on a weekly basis is to recreate each song as he would. For those who never shared the dance floor with us at 618 w 46th St in the early 2000's what he would do was to rip each track apart and put it together again using multiple (unreleased) versions including instrumentals, acapellas, strings, flutes, pads and a Pioneer EFX-500. The effect of these extra steps would be to constantly leave the audience waiting to see how a song would be played and whether new nuances would be added. Often times these tracks would be extended upwards of 15 minutes each which is unheard of in the modern day. I mostly stopped collecting these songs years ago, but I had the idea and a few important friends and contributors (thanks to those who know who they are) gave the final missing pieces that I never had in order to justify doing a mix of this length and in this style. My own personal requirement is to only include songs of the highest (lossless) audio quality as opposed to the hideous sounding versions of these songs that were shared on Napster/Soulseek that have now worked there way into other sets and on YouTube. Additionally I tried to avoid songs that were included in CD's that were sold by Sound Factory unless I could recreate them differently than was done on the CD, many of the songs that aren't in this 8+ hour mix that otherwise would be are for this reason. I wanted to share something completely unique and special in a way that has never been shared. Every song included in this mix are all lossless audio studio masters or were released solely on vinyl and have been personally ripped by me. I hope this mix is as meaningful to you as it is to me. The tracks selected were chosen from a series of tracklists that I had personally written in the summer-fall 2003 period from Sundays at Sound Factory and the objective of this mix is to transport you back to that time. It's nothing other than a tribute to Jonathan who was a godlike figure at the time and has musically captivated so many of us.

The trends, they may change but the New York native has stayed true to his drum driven sounds and created his own niche in the wide and vast world of electronic music. Taking bits and pieces from every part of the globe he visits, Boris always maintains a piece of home in his music. 

Even though his career spans nearly three decades, the journeyman DJ has yet to falter. We currently find him playing leading to destinations across the globe and his music is in high demand with forthcoming releases many sought after labels, Boris will is constantly on the tips of the younger generation’s tongue. Why? Because talent, like wine, gets better with age.
