With over 17 years of experience on the decks, Brenda D. is a recognized name amongst the top DJ’s of the Chicago underground scene. If you know Chicago, its vast history and high standards for its disc jockeys, then you know that she is a cut above the rest. Her versatility and ability to adapt to the crowd, along with her flawless mixing skills, have landed her gigs in nearly every Chicago hotspot. She has played alongside all of Chicago’s hometown heroes and in various clubs and underground parties from coast to coast.

In 2005, Brenda put her marketing skills to the test by becoming one of the driving forces behind Soul Foundation's city wide residences in Chicago at Venues such as, Darkroom and Moonshine. While in that role, Brenda oversaw the creative process of design, DJ bookings, online promotions, and event planning; all the while, she maintained her own DJ residencies and hosted various nightlife events. Currently, Brenda is responsible for Soul Foundation Recordings’ A&R division & promotions.


Stylistically, she beats a unique blend of sound, merging all of the strains of House to make the crowd move. No matter what Brenda plays on any given evening, you can bet that it will represent Chicago's voice and soul to the fullest, while maintaining its underground integrity. Over the last 10 years, Brenda has contributed creatively in the studio. Not only has she collaborated with her husband and DJ partner Brian G, she’s recorded vocals with world renowned producer, Kate Simko (Spectral Sound, Hello? Repeat) with remixes by Tevo Howard, Bruno Pronsato & Daze Maxim. Be on the look-out for Brenda's own debut EP in 2014.

MUSIC PROGRAMMING

Bill's move to Chicago in 1988 was crucial in the development of his DJ & Production career. Growing up in Miami, he had been involved in various parts of the music industry, from working at Flamingo Record Pool (run by Bill Kelly of WMC Fame), to playing guitar for the band "Life In Sodom" (80’s Synth/Goth Band). His interest in both House & Industrial music inspired him to make his move to the Windy City, and as far as timing, it couldn't have been any better. Bill quickly became involved in the night scene with residency at clubs like Shelter Nightclub, Crobar, & Smart Bar. Bill is a key figure in Chicago’s second wave of House & Techno producers. He’s considered an big influence by Dj's like Black Madonna, Kink, Axel Boman, & Matrixxman. His styles vary from current Detroit Techno & Chicago Acid, to rare House & Italo Disco tracks. Currently he frequents clubs like Panorama Bar in Berlin, and holds a weekly residency, as well as a monthly in Miami.



PRODUCTION

His studio work began with a remix of Kay Ladrae's “Lack Of Love” with Vince Lawrence, followed by a string of releases, including an LP on Trax Records. He has worked with numerous Chicago legends like Darryl Pandy, & Shay Jones (Ministry) to name a few. He has recently relaunched two record labels with a string of releases lined up till next year. His current releases include La Vida Sigue Igual EP on Dark Entries (Savage Hymn alias), a new EP for Chi Wax records, as well as several re-issues. Current remixes include Hannah Holland - Come Correct (Get Up Recordings), Kiddy Smile - Teardrops In The Box (Defected Records), Tres Manos - Can't Stop The Future (Cyclo Recordings), Clemm Abbot - Get More (Foreign Language Records), Lavish Habits - The Theme (Audiophile Deep), & Hieroglyphic Being - The Warning (Children Of The Box).
