What Was The Inspiration For This Song?

So for a while now I've been wanting to write something that had a medieval or battle inspired theme to it but I needed something to really inspire it. One day Pete AKA ( Premier Two ) did some old quotes from Baulders Gate and BAM! Lightning done struck my brain. I ended up taking a few different clips and splicing them together to create this journey.

This is the journey of a goofy hero known as Valabar. One day while strolling through the woods he happens upon a wizard who foresees Valabar's future. Valabar, an unsuspecting hero ends up wielding incredible power against the evil demonic hordes. Low and behold, he ends up facing the armies of the undead and comes out victorious! Thus, our hero rides off to the sunset enjoying the spoils of his victory...a nice beer and some pepperoni pizza. Best kinda loot box there could ever be.

What Was The Inspiration For This Song?

If you haven't heard, there is a little friendly online pub called the "Duhtty Dog". Its run by a streamer named Nathxn every Saturday evening EST. Its a fun place to hang out, share a drink and a laugh...or if you don't drink maybe a snack and a laugh! All are welcome and its just fun to be there especially during the pandemic we're in. People from all over the world just chilling, sharing stories, laughing at each other. Its a pretty special place to be honest.

I decided to write this song while I was in the online pub just hanging out. Had a wild idea to see if I could write a song in 30 minutes. While I didn't hit the 30 minute mark I did hit the 45 minute mark! New record for me, I think its because I was in a good mood and shut my brain off a bit and just wrote without thinking much. It kinda helped with writing in this instance. Sorta a speed write I suppose you could say! I enjoyed writing this so much I think I might do a entire pub set list at some point :) see what comes out in short bursts.

Sometimes you're in the chiptune mood! I was in a mood to create some sort of a kick butt kinda marching style tune. The vibe felt right, and it kept building into a song that had me composing late into the night. When you're on a roll you just gotta keep it going and the name ended up coming from that as well.

This lil' tune came about one night while at the Nathxn pub night that I join in on. Saturdays on Twitch, usually starting around 3PM EST. Now...the stream goes for usually about 3 hours or so, but its the afterparty thats the best. Folks hop onto discord, jump on a discord call and just talk, laugh, have a drink (if they drink) and enjoy each others company. Usually stupid stuff comes up. This particular evening Nathan being a fox boy was being joked about cause he's a stone cold stud! It got me cracking up and this silly tune was born out of it =D

Ahh, this outrageous tune came about from some samples that Nathxn sent me that he'd taken of Kleeben during a few of his streams where Kleebs is making some pretty alluring and goofy noises...I just had to turn it into a song, but I DON'T Think Nathan thought I'd have him being the major featured voice in here alongside Kleebs haha! It was a joy seeing how Nathan and the community reacted to hearing this on pub night. This is another one of the pub songs that I started writing during a pub night stream. Its meant to be over the top ridiculous. I hope I achieved that goal!

What Was The Inspiration For This Song?

This song was written the last night of the  @PremierTwo  subathon. It featured  @Nathxn.  as the late night host who actually premiered this for the sleep gang. The sleep gang were the folks who stayed up all night during the Subathon - a stream that ran for 5 days straight while Premier Two Pete slept. We played VODs, games, shared laughs and in general just had fun waiting for Pete to wake up. When the subathon was coming to an end it had this bittersweet feeling to it. Like we were going to miss the comradery of being a late night crew together. So I decided to write a song before the late night shift ended to capture the feeling of that moment. Nathan was kind enough to Premier it for the sleep gang folks right before Pete woke up. It was a nice send off and salute to folks who hung around keeping the stream going during the wee hours of the night.

What Was The Inspiration For This Song?

During the IRL stream that Pete (@PremierTwo ) did during Chris's (@AbroadinJapan ) Journey Across Japan in Hokkiado they filmed a rap battle in the middle of the freezing snow and after I heard it I knew I needed to do something with it. So I recorded the gopro vocals from Pete's twitch stream and cleaned them up as best I could with the help of Himitsu. Boy...that was hard to get these to sound good from like 20 feet away, people laughing and a bunch of background noise haha! But I think we did a pretty good job with cleaning them up enough to use them!  A big thank you to Kai for creating the album art! See their link down below! Thank you to Chris Broad & RetroDesign for allowing me to use the Journey Across Japan official logo and vocals =D!

So I took the vocals and chopped them up in to an epic battle that I thought would fit well as a badass tune for Joey vs Natsuki! Or should I say...DJ Jelly vs McRapsuki! It was a wicked fun tune to write but I've never had to actually attempt a rap song before and getting these lyrics to actually line up on beat and make sense took probably close to 200 cuts and slight adjustments just on the vocals alone so this is easily my most complicated song to date from a vocal standpoint. I'm hoping I can someday remaster it if I can get that high quality audio from Chris =D but I hope you all enjoy it and when the real rap battle comes out soon on Journey Across Japan I hope you can jam out to that version as well!

So I was trying to test out writing a punk song kinda with a Blink-182 feel to it. I'm learning how to use this software I have from East West Sounds Online that I've been able to purchase thanks to Patreon folks who have helped me save up for more software. Inside it I have guitars & drums - real sounds that I can utilize to try and mimic a real punk band or rock band. So i'm trying to figure out how to write different genres of music. I'll be doing more of this kinda stuff, and I'd like to start writing some more vocal songs with some singers. I can sing a bit myself but i'm not that good so lookin for some folks who like to have fun with this kinda thing :)

This tune is an uplifting and driving song that will make you feel like you can accomplish anything and it'll leave you feeling happy after listening to it :)

This lil tune came about because a member over in the  @PremierTwo  community sent me a funny clip of  @IronMouseParty  playing a game where you had to yell out commands to get your player to do things...needless to say technology isn't that great these days and it couldn't understand her saying stomach for some reason haha! So Tripel7 thank you for this lil clip and thank you to the Mouse Mod team for helping show Mouse the song & approving the artwork too!

So after listening to the clip and laughing I decided it must be made into a goofy lil tune for everyone to enjoy!

Hiya! CamBomb here, thank you for dropping my my humble abode. I hope you can stay a while and listen to a few of my tunes :)

Who am I you ask? I'm a full time dad who is attempting to write music in between taking care of 2 kids, so somewhere between 1 and 4 hours a day I'd estimate of free time a day at this point.
