Guitos Live is one of the main percussionists in Portugal. Awarded several times as “Best Portuguese Live Act”, Guitos plays regularly across Portugal and in countries like Spain, England, Germany, Angola, Mozambique, and Qatar, where he had a monthly residency at one of the best clubs in Doha, Manko Loko.

He’s an exceptional percussionist, his live acts are full of energy and interaction with the crowd, and he’s one of the main Portuguese references regarding club percussionists, playing a lot live with Carlos Manaca, but he also regularly plays with bands and singers in Portugal.

For his first single, Guitos Live presents an ethnic journey using his favourite instrument, the “bongos”.
Carlos Manaça delivers an Afro House electronic version using some of the original elements, but with his typical groove.

After releasing “Fly” on Magna in 2023 and several other releases in different labels after that, Guitos Live delivers another big Afro House track, full of Djembes and topped by a great vocal by Idd Aziz.

@iddaziz is an incredibly talented DJ and singer from the coastal region of Kenya, known for his unique sound that blends Afro House with Mijikenda rhythms and the Kiswahili language. 
With his single “Africala” released in 2017 and his collaboration with international DJ’s like Black Coffee and Diplo, Idd Aziz has propelled his music onto the global stage. Today, with over a million monthly listeners on Spotify he continues to captivate audiences with his innovative and culturally rich sound. 

Besides the great ethnic Original Mix by Guitos Live, “Djembefola” also includes a darker Afro House version by Carlos Manaça and a big Tech House Mix by Pedro Carrilho.

Carlos Manaça returns to Magna Recordings to release “Roots EP” an EP featuring two very different tracks.

“African Roots” is an electronic Afro House track with deep percussive tribal elements, showing his ethnic’s influences, something that has been on most of his music since the beginning.

“This Is The Police” was produced during the latest racial riots in the United States. It’s an energetic Tech House track with lush keys and a funky groove.

Carlos Manaça is one of the main Portuguese DJ’s and producers and has been an essential part of the country’s Underground dance scene since its very beginning. 
In 2026 celebrates 40 years since his first job as a DJ but his schedule is still busy. He plays mainly in Portugal but also plays in countries like Japan, England, Switzerland, Brazil, Luxembourg, Poland, Croatia, Germany, Mexico, Angola, Mozambique, Russia, USA, Canada and Spain, where he lived from 2002 to 2021. He has now moved back to Oporto, Portugal.

As a producer his name started to get international exposure in 1995 with his remixes of O.L.N. "Oporto Deep Cuts EP" released on TRIBAL AMERICA (and Tribal UK), one of the main worldwide Labels at the time. His “Reboot 144” (Acid Error Mix) was the A Side of that release and was supported by no other than Danny Tenaglia, among many other artists.

In 1999 founded Magna Recordings, one of the first underground dance Labels in Portugal with releases by Victor Calderone, Chus & Ceballos, Richie Santana, Mendo, D-Formation, Natalino Nunes, Stephane K & Koutarou M, Peter Bailey, among many others. In 2001 co-produced the worldwide hit “The Strong Rhythm” with his long time friends Chus & Ceballos, included on “Deep Dish – Global Underground 021: Moscow” CD compilation which gave them their first worldwide success reaching the top of the dance sales charts all over the globe. 

With releases on Labels like SCI+TEC Audio, Stereo Productions, Toolroom, Orange Recordings, Transmit, Otto Music, Kinetika Records, Beat Freak Recordings, Moody Recordings, Kult Records, District Audio and his own Magna Recordings, among many others, Carlos Manaça is more motivated that ever. He still loves delivering his typical Tech House & Techno tribal influenced grooves to the clubbers every weekend, and feels that still has a lot of music to bring to the global Dance Scene.

Being also an Audio Engineer (by SAE Institute Madrid) and head of Beat Works Mix & Mastering, in 2022 started as a Mastering teacher at ETIC Lisbon, one of the best and well known audio school’s in Portugal, as well as an invited master class Mastering teacher at Pro-DJ in Oporto.
