My good friend Lushbunny surprised me and flew up to LA for my birthday. So he and I played this daytime energetic set to celebrate my 39th birthday at Mars Bar in San Francisco.  It's full of vocal old school house and disco tracks, greatly influenced by all the new tracks I discovered on my recent trip to the Defected Croatia festival back in August of this year!

Movies are a powerful notalgia machine. I remember vividly seeing the movie Pump Up the Volume when I was a teenager.  I connected instantly with the music, teen angst, and existential ruminations of an 80’s kid. From Pixies to Leonard Cohen, the soundtrack was on constant repeat in my cassette player. I had the pleasure of playing to the always beautiful sunsets on Koh Lanta, an island in Thailand at the Pangea Beach Bar. This was a great opportunity to put together a set of a lot of the chiller tracks I've been collecting over the last year or so.

This 2h30m set is a journey with the sun, starting off chill and, after the sun sets and the lights come on, a little bit more of a dance vibe with many throwbacks.
