UK has a cultic role in the evolution of electronic music. Great clubs, iconic record labels, decent taste-makers and an ever growing and evolving scene. In the last few years House music has became even more stronger in England and hot talents just started to flood the scene.
One of our newfound producer Avesie is definitely an artist to watch. He got on our radar last year and teaming up with his partner, Cadence they delivered an outstanding debut release called ‘Clean Freak EP’. Meanwhile Avesie had the privilege to make an official remix for Hot Since 82 on Knee Deep In Sound, he also featured on Glasgow Underground, CR2 or New Violence.
To complete Avesie’s ‘Soho’ release we have one of the most exciting duo on the remix side, ‘Yungness & Jaminn’. The Marseille based duo has exploded the scene with their first releases and it’s not a big surprise as they saw the light under Loco Dice’s Desolat, Cuff and Too Many Rules.

One of the most exciting and innovative producers of recent years, Latmun delivers the two-track Try Stop Me EP on Kaluki: a pair of twisted, hypnotic rollers that further demonstrate his innate production prowess. Both his DJ sets and productions are characterised by a coherent energy, with his infectious grooves the key component for captivating dancefloors, earning him an ever-growing legion of fans worldwide. 

Key milestones from Latmun's career to date include his Def EP on VIVa which still gets hammered by the likes of Skream, Claptone, Claude Vonstroke and Mathias Tanzmann and his remix of Green Velvet's seminal Flash, right up to recent releases on a diverse range of labels including Repopulate Mars, elrow, Snatch!, Hot Creations and Emerald City. 

Landing on Kaluki this September, the Try Stop Me EP is typical of Latmun's hypnotic, intricate style. Lead track 'Try Stop Me' is a swaggering Minimal Tech House banger with a rolling bassline, complex percussion, chopped vocals and a tense breakdown complete with steadily rising synths. Honey is another heady, trippy cut, with a sultry vocal, punchy drums and a subtle, warped acid line bubbling along in the background. 

While the global dance scene may be paused at the moment, Try Stop Me EP is a timely reminder than Latmun is still doing what he does best: creating AAA cuts, ready and waiting for when the dancefloors are packed once again.

A musical purist in terms of inspiration, Charles Pierre draws from soul, funk, disco, hip-hop, r&b and many other genres to catalyse his thoughts and galvanise new works. Outside of originals and remixes, he is also building a solid rep via the medium of recycling seminal pieces of music and putting his stamp on things in the form of Charles Pierre edits - with impressive effect.

His sound is heavily influenced by groove-focused tech house, championing distinctive and memorable bass melodies combined with layers of dance-inducing percussive factors. If you were to compare his sonic signature, it has many striking similarities to that of Joey Daniel, wAFF and Marco Carola - something that becomes quickly apparent when you look at Charles’ release catalogue and the ethos behind the labels he has signed music with.

Since landing a standout release on Solid Grooves in 2017, Charles has gained the support of a plethora of industry peers including the likes of Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Steve Lawler, Latmun, Solardo, Michael Bibi, PAWSA, Wade and of course Marco Carola himself.

With many of the game’s major players frequently supporting Charles, it’s no surprise that he has already graced the majority of London’s most revered venues including Ministry of Sound, Printworks, Studio 338, E1, The Steelyard and more. Outside of his UK exposure, Charles has also appeared on the White Isle, most notably in the form of a b2b2b with Michael Bibi and Franz Costa on his debut for Solid Grooves at Benimussa Park.

Charles’ impressive resume has seen him play alongside the likes of PAWSA, Reelow, Dennis Cruz, Cuartero, Hector Couto, Neverdogs, ANOTR, Detlef, Nathan Barato and many more. What he has already achieved makes a worthy accomplice to what is yet to come, with several key releases on major labels and high-profile performances in the pipeline for the not too distant future.
