Después de escuchar el sonido de Roberto Surace por primera vez, obtienes la repentina percepción de su intuición y autenticidad musical. Es tan inmediato y real que a veces se hace palpable. Es el resultado de la mente de un artista joven. Roberto Surace nació en Roma en 1991 y creció en Calabria. Su primer encuentro con la música underground y electrónica se remonta a 2010, poco tiempo antes de convertirse en residente en Vanilla Disco en Siena, donde tenía lugar su fiesta “CaramelloClubPrive” hasta 2017. Ha estremecido a algunos de los clubes más populares de Italia y Europa, como Pacha y Bora Bora en Ibiza, Tenax y Otel en Florencia, Shoreditch Platform en Londres, City Hall y Café del Mar Lounge en Barcelona. En 2013, siente que ha llegado el momento de pasar a la producción de estudio y comenzar a crear el sonido que incorpora su idea de la música, con un tono fresco y ordenado y cuyas rítmicas son fascinantes y bien articuladas. Es en 2017 cuando su canción “Vibe” se incluye en “Various Artists”, lanzada por Riva Starr bajo el sello Snatch Records. Luego se incluye en “Music On Billboard Playlist” 2017 por Dj Marco Carola, más tarde ese mismo año. 2018 es el año de dos logros principales: “Fuck Down”es lanzado por “Elrow Music” ;Roberto firma por uno de los sellos más importantes y productivos que operan en la música house, el Superfett alemán. Aquí es donde lanza “come on everybody”, que durante mucho tiempo contó con el support de Carl Cox. En 2019, “Bloom” sale en Ibiza Talent y se hace un nombre en el mercado, lo que también fue posible gracias al fuerte apoyo del dúo The Martinez Brothers. La evolución creativa en su producción, la mejora constante mediante una investigación meticulosa y la selección de muestras y un uso muy acertado de las voces, son la base de su trabajo. Sin embargo, el papel principal lo desempeña la percusión junto con una línea de bajo cálida y profunda. Un estilo reconocible que se alterna con ritmos y melodías más estructurados donde destacan las notas complejas. Escuchándolo, se puede comprender la precisión y la dedicación que marcan el trabajo de Roberto Surace. En febrero de 2019, impulsado por la necesidad de formar su propio sello, creó SURA Music, que muy pronto recibirá el apoyo de artistas tan populares como Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers, Jamie Jones, BLONDISH, Joey Daniel, Neverdogs, Anna Tur y más. Una cadencia rítmica fascinante y bien definida crea la atmósfera en sus actuaciones y dirige el baile desde el principio hasta el final.

A musical purist in terms of inspiration, Charles Pierre draws from soul, funk, disco, hip-hop, r&b and many other genres to catalyse his thoughts and galvanise new works. Outside of originals and remixes, he is also building a solid rep via the medium of recycling seminal pieces of music and putting his stamp on things in the form of Charles Pierre edits - with impressive effect.

His sound is heavily influenced by groove-focused tech house, championing distinctive and memorable bass melodies combined with layers of dance-inducing percussive factors. If you were to compare his sonic signature, it has many striking similarities to that of Joey Daniel, wAFF and Marco Carola - something that becomes quickly apparent when you look at Charles’ release catalogue and the ethos behind the labels he has signed music with.

Since landing a standout release on Solid Grooves in 2017, Charles has gained the support of a plethora of industry peers including the likes of Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Steve Lawler, Latmun, Solardo, Michael Bibi, PAWSA, Wade and of course Marco Carola himself.

With many of the game’s major players frequently supporting Charles, it’s no surprise that he has already graced the majority of London’s most revered venues including Ministry of Sound, Printworks, Studio 338, E1, The Steelyard and more. Outside of his UK exposure, Charles has also appeared on the White Isle, most notably in the form of a b2b2b with Michael Bibi and Franz Costa on his debut for Solid Grooves at Benimussa Park.

Charles’ impressive resume has seen him play alongside the likes of PAWSA, Reelow, Dennis Cruz, Cuartero, Hector Couto, Neverdogs, ANOTR, Detlef, Nathan Barato and many more. What he has already achieved makes a worthy accomplice to what is yet to come, with several key releases on major labels and high-profile performances in the pipeline for the not too distant future.
