This track is inspired by a dream I had where I died in a plane crash. "Odyssey" comes from the travels of Ulysse - his fear of never coming back home & never reaching his ambitions. It's a track about deception and the fear of death, the fear of never accomplishing your goals.

As usual, some bonus tracks come with our annual best of compilation. Let’s start with best buddies Albanø & Pontias, who often share their studio in their hometown of Saint-Etienne (France). Eminent members of our Family Piknik crew, they collaborate once again for ‘Day One’, a Melodic Tech banger. 

LUCYE is a newcomer whom mentor is no one else than legendary KIKO, one of the most respected profiles hailing from the underground French Scene. With 'Aura', she has seduced us with her stylish indie-dance approach. 

Bartok & Canadas is a well known duo in Montpellier, they played several times for Family Piknik and they now team up with long-time skilled French producer Dalcan & After Midnight to release their first track with us. 'Alone' has all it takes to conquer Melodic Techno & ARTBAT fans, with a thrilling cold-wave vocal to bring emotions on the dancefloor. 

The association between French producer Chris Gavin & Mexican's famous DJ Gabriel I. has already seduced many DJs round the world. Their deep-progressive mood now arrives on Family Piknik with this hypnotic 'Primal Fantango', colored by some trippy ethnic vocals.

Max Delta is one the local talents (Montpellier, France) we've had in our radar since a few months. We're happy to share his dark techno energy on Planetary. 

Finally, we re-release one of our classics under a brand new version. ‘Branca' was one of the bonus track from our 2020's compilation. We're now pleased to deliver this bonus remix from ANSPECT, a new duo emerging from Saint-Etienne, the hometown of our Family Piknik Music gold members Albanø, Mood Gorning & Pontias. Additional percs and Melodic House elements give something fresh and interesting to this almost tribal remix.

Mexico's @GabrielI is on a real roll lately, with many gigs alongside Sven Vath, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and more, all while he is running his own Tenampa imprint, and producing tunes like these gems!

This Ep see's 2 collaborations, each delivering 2 tracks. 

First up @Rawbach joins Gabriel, and they open proceedings with 'Soulashell'. A moody and very electronic sounding wobbly melodic deep viber. Some melancholic vibes oozing out meet some blippy and tinkly tines, while discordant vibes flow throughout.

Next it's 'Disembody', a mystical and haunting deep driver with wobbly synths galore, and watch out for those big beefy growling bass notes.

The second collaboration with Gabriel, comes from French Dj @ChrisGavin. The boys have a proven track record together collaborating with releases on renaissance and for Family Piknik, where the duo return this summer. Here we have the dub and the original versions of The Purist. Both are melodious peak time slabs of goodness. Hypnotic and mystical and both packing a real punch!
