Esteemed gentlemen of dance music Colin Dale & Jules Dickens launch their boundary pushing new imprint "Abstrakt Dance" with a series of killer EPs... The label has the same ethos as Colin's seminal Kiss FM radio show of the same name;  Forward thinking, diverse & fresh electronic sounds for discerning dance music heads.

The Lord sits somewhere between house and dubby techno. With it’s sultry build-up, you’re instantly absorbed by the thick organ-like drone that quickly corrupts the Psalm of David with a ‘Luciferian’ twist. When the vocals suspend the track changes direction and kicks into a delirium of rich sounds building into wonderful layers and a kicking groove. Cerebral nourishment indeed.

So I recently had to go back into the vaults and find some of my favorite older tracks for a show. It was amazing to put this mix together because all of these songs were big in my catalog at one point or another. They remind me a lot of Toronto of course (as I was living there at the time).

So I decided to mix them all together on the plane the other day....and here you go.....songs from the vault...songs from the heart. Enjoy :)

This mix recorded in Feruaray 2013 was done late at night with a bottle of wine and the desire to tell a story.  This is(as all of my mixes are) a live DJ mix, done without the aid of controllers, laptops, sync etc.  This is simply my mind poured out through music to create a mix that accurately describes...me (at that point in time).  There are mistakes and places that i could have fine tuned or improved post recording but i chose to leave the reality of who i am in the mix, besides...the human element and feeling sounds better to me anyway.
