Sometimes, like Bruce Lee said, we need more emotional content. So with that, I've put together a mix that showcases a more emotional and passionate side of house and techno, without the heavy use of vocals. Ascribing his DJ name to the translation of 'rich lake‘, the co-founder of @Maeve records presented two and a half hours of his uplifting yet mysteriously dubby signature sound, when he played alongside Shelter resident Tsepo and Leif Müller in January 2018.

DJ Cira tastefully blends many flavors of house and techno with a keen ear for infectious, body moving grooves. Based out of San Francisco, she frequently performs for promoters and collectives around the Bay Area and can be found working the decks at iconic clubs such as 1015 Folsom, Monarch, The Great Northern, and Public Works.

Known for her dynamic stage presence and ability to inspire crowds, Cira started DJing in 1998 after being immersed in the early American rave scene. As a result, her sets showcase a vast knowledge of dance music drawing from a diverse collection that spans over 30 years. She has since shared the stage with international headliners from Purple Disco Machine and Franc Moody to house legends Braxe & Falcon and Doc Martin. Fusing technical mastery with ecstatic energy, DJ Cira has become a staple of the San Francisco underground scene.
