Welcome to my latest mix, my entry to DiscNoTheque's DJ competition! :-)

I recently went to DiscNoTheque's night at Orange Yard in London, and what a night that was! So when I saw that DiscNotheque hosts Sarah and Chris were running a DJ competition to play at their next event in on Friday, 29th July at Colours Hoxton, it was a no brainer for me to enter!

Thought I'd dig this out again. This is pretty much my favorite ever track from the Disco era. This was really a hybrid of Disco and Funk. A red-hot New York jam from a red-hot rhythm section and killer horns. I LOVE stuff like this. So much creativity in the arrangement too. The only problem was that the track was too short and it used to frustrate me that I couldn't build it more. So I got the chance to do a couple of re-edits in 1994 when I did a Crown Heights Affair compilation. It's kinda basic but I think it holds up pretty well for a 20 year old re-edit.
