During the pandemic I created a four part mix series for Triple J that was focused around my inspirations as a DJ and record producer. It sent me down quite the nostalgic path of re-discovery. I believe the pandemic became quite a reflective time for everybody at home. Not just they were pining for a life before COVID 19, but it gave them a chance to look back and discover what they liked about life in general. Whether that be art, music, or even relationships. 

After listening to all of this music, I decided I wanted to try my hand and write a timeless rave record that not only made listeners nostalgic for the past, but excited about the celebrations we all have to come. “Miracle Maker” is the result".

Landing back on the firm next is Liverpudlian selector Friend Within, who returns with his second Toolroom release of the year, ‘Bring It Down’. 

Riding the on the hype from ‘Monkey Bars’, the old school, Dutch House styled monster that garnered vast support from Paul Woolford, Meg Ward, LF System, John Summit, Dom Dolla, MK, Malaa and many more. A certified secret weapon of the summer, ‘Monkey Bars’ received heavy rotation on both national and international radio stations, especially from BBC Radio 1 heads Pete Tong, Sarah Story, Arielle Free and Danny Howard becoming a staple sound of 2022.

So, what comes next? Friend Within has the answer of course, with another killer slice of Hard House meets UK G that is ‘Bring It Down’. From the tracks hard hitting groove, late nineties House bass hits and lush synth chords, this is another club weapon that will be providing the soundtrack to many a dance floor!
