The local selection mix returns with a 3 deck hour of power as Dublin young gun Conor Reilly aka CON.R blends seamlessly through modern techno grooves with old-school loopy classics.

Conor began playing in clubs in early 2019, and has gone on to share line ups with international artists such as JKS, Mayeul, Airod and KRTM. During lockdown Conor earned a radio residency at Phever, where he presents his show ‘Beats & Bleeps’ bi-weekly.

The mix features music from CRAVO, Chris McCormack, UMEK, Steve Rachmad, Kaiser, Sev Dah, Rove Ranger and more.

This mix is an absolute master class from the Dublin young gun and we look forwards to hearing more from CON.R in the future.

Our latest premiere is now online featuring a track titled 'Gaborone West Groove' from our close friend and Lepton head honcho, Ngoni Egan.

Now based in Rotterdam, the Irish artist debuts on United Identities with a five-track EP that pays tribute to his roots, diving into Ngoni's familial heritage in Botswana and explores his sound beyond electro.

After years of practice in the studio, Ngoni's innate skill to blend electro, techno and percussive textures really comes to light on "Re Teng" with 'Gaborone West Groove' in particular rumbling through with a huge bassline and snappy percussion.

"Everyone knows I'm a lively character, I like the party." Oliver 'Skream' Jones is attempting to explain his stamina over a near two decade-long career and true to his unpretentious personality, he makes it sound easy. The 36 year-old has been making music since the age of 15 and despite being a busy father, this hour-long, unfiltered conversation at RA's London headquarters confirms that his love for the dance is as strong as ever.

Discussing his childhood, the seminal Dubstep Forum and and finding confidence through music, the dubstep legend reveals how his social skills, born from childhood visits to the pub with his father, gave him his first record store job. "My musical taste is all over the place, my range is broad," he says. That includes pop, a style that he likes for its collaboration with underground producers.

Skream's endurance in an industry that's synonymous with burnout is remarkable but he simply attributes it to pure instinct. "When something feels right, I do it. I don't see it as change, I see it as a natural feeling." That's why he made the decision years ago to focus on house and techno instead of dubstep, a style that he transformed from dark and slow to ravey. "I play for myself but that's what my fanbase has grown to love." 

That intuition also applies to his productions. "I've got to a point where I know what I want to hear and make it happen. That comes from doing the same thing for a long time." In the studio, he says he regularly listens to tracks repeatedly "and if it ever gets boring" or doesn't bring "a certain feeling," then he knows it's not ready.

Today we showcase new music from Dublin based imprint Ten One Records as label boss Air Jackson collaborates with long-time label affiliate, Soul Campbell. We premiere ‘With You’, an ethereal showcase of Irish rave nostalgia as the pair hone in on fluttering melodies, snappy breakbeat rhythms and lush pads for a romantic trip through dancefloor reminiscence.

Dublin based label Ten One Records are back with their first release of the year as label co-founder Air Jackson collaborates with long-time long time Ten One Records artist Soul Campbell. The pair best known for their house music excursions, join forces to take things in a deeper and more melancholic direction as they showcase a two-track EP comprised of textured rhythms and floating soundscapes.

Hailing from Dublin and Wicklow the pairing of Air Jackson & Soul Campbell seemed like a formality, having crossed musical paths on numerous occasions. The two artists have expertly identified the crossover between their widespread taste in music.

‘With You’ showcases the pairs production range as they dip their toes in a simmering display of emotive atmospheres as the pair touch on inspiration from breaks, trance and ambient fields. The track has a nostalgic feel to it as it leaves whisper’s of 90’s rave culture while also lurking in the shadow’s of seminal modern day productions from Bicep, Four Tet and more.

Sharpson is an Irish independent Producer / DJ and the label boss of Choki Biki Records. The London based producer's sound is directly influenced by his upbringing on 90’s UK Rave music ranging from Breakbeat, Electro, Garage, Trance, Techno, Jungle and Drum & Bass. 

As a DJ, Sharpson has garnered a name for himself as a DJ through his unique style of DJing with the decks backwards.  His DJ sets on Youtube have accumulated hundreds of thousands of views due to his unique style of playing with the decks backwards and inviting members of the audience to DJ! His reputation as a skilled selector and entertainer, genre hopping and dropping obscure classic trance anthems in his set, has seen Sharpson perform all over Europe, The UK and Canada.

As a producer, Sharpson makes an array of electronic music under several monikers. His ‘Sharpson’ production’s stand out with his signature style of integrating ‘Dublin mannerisms’ into his club tracks, courtesy of local hip-hop Irish acts such as Deborah De Luca, Four Tet, Ed Solo and Riva Starr.

When not producing, Sharpson works as a lecturer in North London, indoctrinating young minds into Junglists one day at a time.
