SHIVASHIDAPU -  Power of Celtics   [Nyctelios Remix]

Arsenal 88 is a melodic rock band from Miami, Florida. The band emerged from former members of bands that have strongly influenced the south Florida music scene for over a decade. Long before they knew they wanted to make music together each member dedicated multiple years to their bands. Andres Aguero sang for the melodic punk outfit Foolproof , Klaus Ketelhöhn played guitar for the nationally recognized The Agency, Rob Vespe played bass for the punk driven Going Nowhere, Jim Miller played drums for the instrumental rock elite Vidavox and Alejandro Salazar played guitar for dance rock’s own Outereach. 
In the spring of 2009 Klaus and Andres began writing songs about life’s highs and lows. They did not limit themselves to a specific genre of music but established that melody would be the main focus for the band. They recruited the rest of the band based on the diversity of their musical backgrounds and began practicing. During the summer of 2009, Arsenal 88 recorded a two-song demo featuring the tracks “Open Wound” and “Rocky” in Nashville, Tennessee. Mike Marsh, former drummer of The Agency and current drummer of Dashboard Confessional engineered and produced the recording. Arsenal 88 has been playing riveting shows in local Miami venues like Grand Central, Transit Lounge, and Churchill’s Pub while also reaching their fans throughout Florida. They are currently writing songs for their debut album expected to be released by the end of 2011.

Residing in Buenos Aires, Argentina, DJ and producer Luciano Delgado debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the delicious Virtuoso EP. This brand new EP features four original works covering deep, tech and progressive house as well as a top notch remix thrown in for good measure. Delighted to have this guy on board and we look forward to more in the future.

First up we have the title track - Virtuoso, which intros with a nice and smooth deep house groove as subdued kickdrums are offset by crispy rhythmic hats. In the background warm chords fill the space alongside some cool atmospheric effects. A deep and lush bass sits beautifully on the low end and adds so much warmth to the sound. The break brings in some light relief with rich strings sweeping through the sound delivering a nice melodic touch. A fantastic deep and melodic slice here that will definitely be a go track.

Caballito Vibra intros with a cool atmospheric vibe with soft kicks coming through alongside subtle percussions. A deep bass joins and sends the track on a firm progressive house course that layers up smoothly along the way with a myriad of sounds. The drums slowly build to dish out a solid rhythm and an infectious groove licked with intricate FX. A short break reveals a cool melody that adds a lot of flavour to the sound making this a definite must have track.

Next up we have Amateur which intros with a mesmerizing pad arrangement that soon breaks down to unleash a solid kickdrum that gets the groove moving nicely. Those pads return with a beautiful melodic edge that brings a richness to the sound. A very strong offset bass takes over and we find ourselves firmly locked into this deep, deep groove. A beautifully textured arrangement of sounds that will appeal to many for sure.

The Original Mix of Magic Molain is up next and this one takes us on a more tech induced journey with a wonderful display of drum and percussion arrangement delivers a solid rhythmic vibe to the sound. A deep probing bass cuts through the colourful drum section and grabs a hold of your brain with a hypnotic grasp. On the break we get a taste of some quirky synth licks that add a playful edge to the track before we get right back into the main groove for the duration. Top notch stuff.

Rounding off this superb EP we have the Joke Remix on Magic Molain which keeps true to the techy edge of the original. Cool stuttered vocals are introduced giving the track a lot of scope as that ever probing bassline dominates the sound. A tight drum arrangement ensures a steady rhythm throughout. A much deeper slice of tech here that is a must have track for sure.
