Artist bio:

Tuatara is a Sydney-based music producer, label DJ, and creative director for Trimurti Records. His sound draws on glitch hop and bass vibes but has a decidedly acoustic touch and psychedelic twist to it.

After years of touring in Goa and around South-East Asia, organizing forest psychedelic parties in the jungles of Thailand, releasing numerous compilations on several independent labels, he gained enough recognition and experience to produce truly unique music that moves and satisfies demanding ears. 

Tuatara is one of the best-kept secrets in Sydney’s underground scene. His noted performances are the live sets at Dragon Dreaming and Tropical Bloom festivals to name a few. It’s time to introduce and share his signature sound with Psybient.org Podcast punters.

Portugal ambient duo ZEN BABOOM presents the 4th edition of Sofa Beats Series.

Zen Baboon are Daniel Rosado and Henrique Palhavã. Both were born in the 70`s in Portugal and since an early age kept a close connection with the musical world, focusing on great sound quality and original construction. Daniel is a sound engineer that worked in a studio in Lisbon and started producing electronic music in the late 90′s. Henrique, a zoologist, lives and works in his own farm and started as an ambient DJ, ( ̈DJ Henriq ̈) and producer in 2001. They got together in 2003 and decided to melt their musical preferences and create Zen Baboon.

Having started in 1994 as a producer and DJ, Ralph founded the project RASTALIENS with his friend Jay. They enjoyed international success with their debut project on every major continent.

In 2005 he started his solo full on psy project BRAINCELL which immediately sparked an interest and earned respect throughout the scene, introducing a genuinely authentic sonic flavour to the genre whilst raising the bar in creativity and production.

in 2007 Ralph’s second project SOLAR SPECTRUM was born, representing the more progressive side of his creativity and providing a bridge between both ends of the spectrum with slightly lower bpms and a drivingly groovy heart opening intention for the dance floor.

In 2013 it was time for an Ambient/Chill/Downbeat project which was realized under the name UNKNOWN REALITY. Once again Ralph’s sonic storytelling skills were expressed in a new framework. This time field recordings and modular synthesis with full spectral soundscapes and laid back mysterious beats, created a backdrop for the unfolding of a beautifully honest ambient journey, with a gentle push into the unknown.

In 2018 he joined Nano Records, the label on which he released his first double album «Gaia» which represents two of his creative sides: Full on psy trance with BRAINCELL and Chill-out with UNKNOWN REALITY. The album was a great success and was at Nr. 1 for 10 weeks in the Psyshop.com charts.

To date Ralph has played his music on every major continent; in countries such as Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, USA, all over Europe, India, Bali, Thailand to name but a few. He has received much praise for his energetic and emotional live shows, DJ sets and production skills.

In 2011 he founded his company NoizeBusters to combine all his knowledge in Sound Design & Music Production as well as teaching experience.
Thanks to his many years of live and studio experience as a musician and producer, he combines a very broad and deep understanding of music production, digital electronics and all the technology of contemporary sound.

Fredrik’s path through the rabbit holes of Electronica has been an ever-growing, never-ending exploration through rhythms, patterns, concepts and soundscapes since the innocent 90's. Having always had a keen ear to atmosphere and lysergic depth, he’s been a widely acclaimed DJ across the European festival scene, spanning from meditative Ambient, through Dub and Broken Beats to his significant uptempo TechnoTrance-hybrid sound. Since 2019 he’s the co-manager and graphic designer of Navigare Audio, a record label rooted in his love and dedication for nature, dance, art and deep, hi-fi techno.
