I wrote this song when I was reevaluating life and I was put in a position to leave all the people places n things that I knew and loved in California to follow my kids n their Mom to Nashville

I was born w music my 1st concert was in my Mama pregnant belly! At 1 years old My Mom married a successful Radio Station DJ for rock stations. I Grew up in Santa Cruz Ca Surfing Skateboarding playing punk rock music. We were truly the Lost Boys!

I grew up in n out of Radio stations with my Dad that was a well know rock DJ. 1st concert was in 1972 in my moms stomach. She was pregnant at an Eric Clapton band concert … Derek and the Dominoes. “Layla” tour thus my mom named me Derek. She married “My DJ Dad” when I was 1 years old and my musical creative gene was born. My whole life I’ve always wanted to create music but Surfing and girls took over.  At 52 I have compiled many writings into songs and have created some decent sounds. Hope they bless you. I have all genres in my soul.
