Growing up on an eclectic diet of J.M. Jarre and The Doors, provided by his  father’s record collection, Grandpa Groove is hard to pin musically, though mostly he plays Techno, electronic and experimental genres.
It was only a few years later that he discovered late night electronic, drum’n’bass , gabba  parties and the mindblowing rhythms of Techno. Grandpa Groove promptly gained an enormous interest in dj-ing , purchased his  first console and began performing at local house parties, basements and abandoned warehouses.
Now after a few residencies  in Bucharest  techno club scene, has shared the stage with well known Romanian and international dj’s  such as Locic, Ingra, Calin, Vast Solo, Haute Culture, Savi, Control Freak, Pneumatix, Sorin Milea,  Fanescu, Dudesq, Clap_on, Treisutesaizeci, Plusculaar and many more.
2016 seems like a busy year  for  Grandpa Groove aka Lucian Batranul , launching new projects, and continuing  his journey into experimental.
