Spanish producers Kursiva and Qhymera join forces for ‘Rush’, bringing together a wide ranging musical scope which encompasses both their skill within the studio and behind the decks. Blunt rhythms and a solid mix give way to the impeding madness of ‘Rush’, which channels the energy prevalent within every part of Kursiva and Qhymera’s chaotic production style. With an impeccable engineering and a vibrancy within their drum patterns and carefully layered composition, the track appeals to the dancefloor as well as the madness of any moodily snapping DJ set. Neuktek - T'en as trop pris

This track was written and recorded in a single day. It is a short "what if" thesis asking "What do acoustic gut string guitar, vocal, hammered dulcimer, AC-30/Ebo/Tele sound like with judicious amounts of spectral bluring and some Csound granular opcodes". Inspired by a conversation...a long and meaningful one, late at night. 

Sometimes conversations become a place, that in memory at least, you can return too. Listening to this I can remember where I was sitting, and the way I held the phone and exactly how I felt on this very hushed night. 

I took this photograph in Erskine in Australia (short drive inland from the coastal town of Lorne). It was taken on a 5DmII using a 17mm 1.4 L lense and I did minor color correcting/film grain/vignetting in Magic Bullet. It seemed to really suit this piece.

The EP included also 2 amazing remixes of “A night of madness”.
The first one is produced by N3AR, new Italian talent born on 1995. N3AR revisited the piece in Crossbreed style.
The second one is by winner of the recent Remix Contest. The track of the French Neural Damage was chosen over 243 remixes, so it’s a very good one!

Darktek est un artiste français originaire de Normandie, inspiré depuis le début par la culture « web » et mêlant mélodies envoûtantes et humour déjanté ! Ayant débuté dans la scène Free Party et composant depuis 2007, il surfe sur tous les styles mais est devenu définitivement célèbre pour ses morceaux hardtek/tribecore.

Il aime mélanger les styles dans ses productions et les saupoudrer d'electro chill, de breaks neurofunk ou de screech rawstyle. En 2015, il lance avec son ami Mimaniac le side-project « FAKE » positionné exclusivement sur le hardcore, revenant à ses racines !

Darktek a sorti son 4ème album « Bass Bomb » en 2020. Dans cet album, il mélange de nombreux styles différents dont bien sûr le hardtek mais aussi le hardcore, la trance ou le rawstyle. S'éloignant légèrement des samples humoristiques francophones qui caractérisaient ses précédentes productions, il se concentre désormais sur les mélodies, la fluidité et l'efficacité.

Lors de la sortie de cet album, Darktek a également mis à jour son set live, qui est un mélange très énergique de ses derniers morceaux et de certains de ses vieux classiques.

Darktek is a french artist, inspired since the beginning by the “web” culture and mixing bewitching melodies and off your rocket humour! Having started in the Free Party scene and composing since 2007, he surfs on all different styles but got definitely famous for his hardtek/tribecore tracks.

He likes to mix styles in his productions and sprinkle them with electro chill, neurofunk breaks or screech rawstyle bits. In 2015, he launched with his friend Mimaniac the side-project “FAKE” positioned exclusively hardcore, coming back to his roots!

Darktek released his 4th album “Bass Bomb” in 2020. In this album he blends many different styles including of course hardtek but also hardcore, trance or rawstyle. Slightly moving away from the French-spoken humorous samples that were characteristic of his previous productions and is now focusing on melodies, flow and efficiency.

When releasing this album, Darktek also updated is live set, which is a very energetic mix of his latest tracks and some of his old classics.
