PTP002. Brenden LaBonte aka Forerunners is a guy who produces lush, majestic and addictive progressive trance music. His back catalogue is gem after gem. All killer, no filler. He totally gets the concept of the slow build and how to take the listener on a journey. This release consists firstly of Lost In Translation (Extended Mix) the full length version of his standout track featured on Solarstone + Gai Barone’s Pure Trance Vol. 4, and also the mesmerizing Strange Days. Brenden’s production hinges on hypnotizing rhythms and precisely modulated synth patterns and he is clearly one of the best in the business at this. Play loud and understand why.

Simina Grigoriu bridges the heavy and the melodic realms of techno for her inaugural EP on Kuukou Records. An experienced globetrotter, Simina is known for taking great inspiration from her travels, so it comes as no surprise that the name she’s chosen for her own label, Kuukou stands for “airport” in Japanese. 

Ninja Princess provides an exotic sound exploration, setting off all the elements from the get go. We’re emerged into a vibrant melody with a progressive bassline, taking us from luscious vocals to winding synths within a matter of seconds. Alfred Heinrichs closes up the release with another minimalist and murky reconstruction. Keeping the subtle melodiousness at bay through harmonic chord arrangements, Heinrichs brings out the late night club appeal of the initial track, making for a perfect dancefloor banger.

"Shine" truly is another of illitheas's best works. Its main basslines and drums, combined with distant plucks and subtle pads, will instantly take you into an ethereal journey through emotions. This track has an interesting history: illitheas originally composed it a few years back, but then he lost the project in a HDD crash. So he decided to recreate it based only on his memories, and this is the result!
