The fourth episode of the Tribute Mixtape series was made with love by our dear team member Shia LaBiff. The British Synthpop, Post-Punk, New Wave, Dance-Rock & Electronica (phew!) band has an enormous influence on Michel's sonority - those who have already danced to his sets are totally familiar with his eclectic style.

"New Order has always had a huge influence on me since I was a teenager. They were one of the few bands which combined the best of both worlds – dark Post-Punk and electronic beats. There are still a lot of people who don’t know that New Order was formed after Joy Division split up following the suicide of Ian Curtis. The sound evolved by the time they were experiencing with synthesizers and drum machines in the early 80s and there are still releasing great albums and playing phenomenal live shows. JD’s "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is a true Indie anthem, "Blue Monday" probably has one of the most iconic beats ever created, "True Faith" and "Bizarre Love Triangle" would come to your mind when you think of good 80s radio songs. Nevertheless, for this special tribute mix, I focused on the more unfamiliar and darker side of the band’s history. Besides those massive and popular anthems, there is still a lot to discover and I put together the best of the rest of New Order’s legacy", said Michel.
