DeepCutta Presents I AM NYC 7 White Edition

I AM NYC Volume 7 is a two part mix consisting of the White Edition and the Black Edition. In contrast with the White Edition's heavy tribal influence, the Black Edition featured here is more of a techno oriented affair. The mood on this mix is dark, brooding and sinister. Just how it should be! 

The Black side showcases some of DeepCutta's favorite afterhours techno and techno house bombs that he has had the pleasure of dancing to at a variety of underground parties in NYC over the past year. Listen to what you have been missing and come up to speed on the sounds that are crushing underground dance floors in the Big Apple. 

The Black Edition is capped off with a special DeepCutta dark techno edit of Lana Del Rey's vocal hit "Video Games". As if the original song wasn't moody enough! You will also find my personal edit of Danny Tenaglia's legendary classic "Elements".

DeepCutta Presents I AM NYC 7 Black Edition

DJ Chus & Boris feat. Yana Arriba! Great Stuff Recordings Summer is here and that can only mean one thing: it's time for Great Stuff Recordings to drop some bombs. Ibiza is underway and it's hungry for anthems. The beast needs feeding, and this early season treat is set to fill a sizeable hole over the next few months. Chus & Boris have pooled their efforts for the incessantly building Arriba!, a fist-pumping journey through cut-up disco diva vocals, huge pulses of womping, subby bass and finger-clicking rhythms. It's packed full of energy, and swells up to boiling point before the delicious release of those full vocals cut through to make for a powerful climax. The Club Mix toughens things up a little, eschewing the full vocal drop for a frenzied, tech-fuelled zenith, while extended and instrumental mixes are provided for those who like things a bit longer, or a bit dubbier. Speaking of dubby, that's exactly what Matthew Codek's remix is all about. The emerging producer twists the vocals through pitch drops and bugged-out effects, simmering the groove down to a less manic pace and injecting some old skool house funk into the proceedings. A mix for fans of the Dutch tech house sound and thereabouts.

DJ Dev Bhandari is name that will be hard to forget within a few moments of listening to his undeniably talented mixes and productions.	He	is	known throughout the tri-state area and in the most respected venues throughout nyc which is a hard task for any dj. dev has been turning records and breaking the standard stereo type of what a dj means by his relentless drive and dedication to move your soul.  starting his label Fundamental Records back in February of 2011, he has been able to push the boundaries and deliver records that he believes in without compromise.  the label was preceded by the very successful launch of his podcast series Fundamental sessions which has gained notoriety and a loyal fan base around the world going on 5 years now.  signed to nervous records in 2012, dev has been able to contribute to a label with deep roots and countless artists that have been able to change house music as we know it.
You can hear the sounds of dev in some of nyc’s top notch venues such as: Pacha, cielo, greenhouse, amnesia, crimson, water taxi beach and governor's Island to name a few. In nj he has played in every venue repeatedly alongside major talents such as: Erick Morillo, Victor Calderone, boris, Serge Devant, Oscar G, Martinez Brothers, Hex Hector, chriss vargas and many more. Inter- nationally, he has broken ground in south east asia and in europe and currently holds a bi-monthly radio contract with radioface in budapest that has over 80,000 dedicated dj dev listeners
