This was my second set at Burning Man 2023. I had the immense pleasure of playing at the Heckleberry HoeDown Tuesday at Camp Heckleberries. The crowd and energy were so much fun!

Inspired by the satellite sacred theme of Wednesday night at the Opulent Chill I selected some spacy melancholic chill vibes from another planet to share with you in this Burning Man 2023 set. Full moon at Burning Man and playing at Opulent Chill... MAGIC...! <3

Satellite Sacred - Burning Man 2023 - Opulent Chill

2023 was the year of the rain, the year of the mud, and the year the playa forced you to learn how to live in the present for your own sanity. It also reiterated the fact that you should never have any expectations in life, but gratitude for everything you are given.

Personally, it was one of the best burns ever for me. It was very special, introspective, but also outward-looking when it needed to be.

Here's the set I played on the Polaris art car on Thursday night before the rain. If you were there, you probably remember we were tuning the sound system as I was playing (of course), so I hope you enjoy this crystal clear dust and mud-free set.

On Playa, I also go by Pony Hunter, or Pedro, or whatever... it was the best burn ever!

Out of nowhere, I had the unexpected opportunity to be DJ and spin music at the famous Burning Man's Orgy Dome on a Thursday from midnight to 2:00 a.m. I was told it was one of the busiest “shifts” of the week, where 250 people would come and go (pun intended ;-)  ).

Of course, I accepted this incredible opportunity, even though I didn't have much time to prepare a set. So I decided to play music that I had but couldn't really play anywhere else because too slow.  It’s a set of slow, trippy music, with lots of texture and sounds, and was performed with fun (read: I ignored most of the mixing rules).
