Another premiere features viscous melodies and vocals of Trenton Chase in a track called Narked, that belongs to V.A. Archives Du Coeur Domain compilation.

The compilation is the latest in the synth-heavy sludge down from Public System Recordings brought directly by the label’s boss Myn. It’s said that he invites a new cast of characters into the dungeon dance, and it’s completely true. Packed with dynamic, chugging, and forward thinking jams, compilation includes Narked, which is yet again a strong piece from Trenton Chase. Metallic and industrial elements bend along with vocal echoes, that create constant reverberation and the positive sound of fear.

Javi Redondo releases a 5-track EP on Dischi Autunno featuring 3 originals, with the remaining tracks consisting of remixes of lead track ‘Rythmo’ from Pablo Bozzi (aka Lapse of Reason) and Cosmo Vitelli. The pace across the EP may be quite sedate, but the sounds within are anything but: blending analogue techno manoeuvres with a disco-inflected methodology, the producer paints a picture of prime-time energy with a heaped spoon of fun. 

‘Black 5th’ draws heavily on this energy, static, patient acid jittering forward slowly and with intent as the sci-fi-esque samples and spooked electronics flutter in and out of audibility. ‘Non Sei Qui’ takes the energy out of the stars and into an EBM horror soundtrack, shattered vocal samples and 80’s synth leads bringing the listener deeper into the intensifying groove.

‘Rythmo’ sets the bar, gritty bass sludging past a gate of motorik drums. True to its name, the rhythm develops swiftly, krautrock-edged energy gathering momentum as the percussion suite, faintly coloured with house music tropes, reaches for the stars. 

Pablo Bozzi, in the vein of Space Dimension Controller, adds a cinematic punch to ‘Rythmo’, transforming the original into an enigmatic, almost trance-like piece, while Cosmo Vitelli’s ‘K hole’ remix pulls the other way, using a stylised view of the percussion as an ephemeral layer above treacle-thick bass and whirring, panic-stricken machinery.

A key fixture in the record bags of DJs throughout the past few decades, best known for their unforgettably odd house anthem ‘He Not In’, it’s been some years since Andy Meecham and Dean Meredith last collaborated as Chicken Lips. As such, it’s with no little delight that Phantasy welcomes them back into the fold with one of their most mind-bending tracks yet, accompanied by a remix from a fellow stalwart of the underground, DJ Sotofett.

Instant and assured, ‘Goldenlips’ unrolls like licorice over ten blissful minutes, mining an undercurrent of post-acid house euphoria into a dreamy analogue jam-turned-trip, a soft and rhythmic vision of dancefloor euphoria that demonstrates a mastermind session of tension and release from two individuals with decades of experience in tipping dancefloors upside-down.

On the flip, DJ Sotofett continues to deliver the unexpected with a more truncated but no less compelling ‘Golden Funk’ mix. Suddenly rolling back the musical clock to the sun-drenched West Coast of the mid-nineties, the result is an oozing, bottom-heavy rework so delicious, it might even have united Puffy and Snoop.

Martin Jenkins, more commonly known as the artist Pye Corner Audio, epitomizes Lapsus' commitment to cutting edge sound experimentation. In 2017, he beguiled the electronic music community by releasing the 'Where Things Are Hollow' EP, on Lapsus Records. Now we are delighted to announce the release of ‘Where Things Are Hollow 2’, consisting of three brand new original cuts and a breath-taking remix from none other than John Talabot.

'Where Things Are Hollow 2' explores a spectral and hypnagogic terrain, establishing an electronic sound that at times invokes Jenkins’ more dance friendly facet -'Self Synchronize', 'Weather The Storm'– while also offering his familiar iridescent dreamlike ambient textures –'Phase B'– that featured prominently on his first EP.

This second EP also includes a remix from John Talabot, unquestionably one of Spain’s most internationally recognised names over the last decade, who exquisitely reimagines 'Resist' -a song from the first EP-, transforming it into a cross between EBM and hypnotic techno.

From a graphic design perspective, renowned artists Alex Trochut and Basora have once again collaborated on this project, repeating the formula that made the artwork for "Where Things Are Hollow" such a collector's item.

Correspondant return with another cosmic tonic to combat these strange and turbulent times. Four slices of smouldering, sexy, groove-toned deep disco, perfect for any lockdown or socially distanced scenario you can possibly imagine, they come courtesy of Tel Aviv's Niv Ast who's been making a name for himself in all the right places; Nein, Duro, Ombra, Relish and of course this very label with two big cameos last year remixing Fort Romeau and appearing on the 'Nume'ro 2' collection. This is his debut EP for Correspondent and arguably his biggest EP to date; 'I Remember' sets the hazy, introspective mood with purring spoken word and salubrious instrumentation before 'Ninja's Mothership' goes all-out psychedelic with sweeping guitar blasts and a slinky, writhing groove. Deeper again we hit pure uncut funk in the form of 'Hyperball Superball' before 'Poisson d'Argent' brings home the silver... A hook-up with good friend Cornelius Doctor, and easily the heaviest piece of the release, it's a chugging cosmic finale laced with layers of textures and sounds to completely lose yourself within. The https://soundcloud.com/new_world is upon us once again. It has been seven years already, since Markus Gebauer debuted on Riotvan under the guise of his New World moniker. That's quite a while in the realm of those sometimes short-term goings-on of clubculture. Yet, Gebauer kept himself busy meanwhile with his alter ego Interviews, reviving the erstwhile identity now that times are calling for a New World more than ever. And that's both, very generally speaking and particularly regarding his slick and classy approach to Neo-Disco-affairs. Interestingly, the lion's share of this EP had been laid down already five years ago, in an ahead of the curve nature that it couldn't sound more up to date right now in 2020. 

Take opener "Glances" for example. Suspense-packed arpeggio meets a groove-laden bass, gets kissed by some smooth melodies and far-out pads and evokes an immense open-air-hymn potential. Here's a little advance notice: that tune might not leave your head for the whole rest of the summer. "Enough!" in its seductive nonchalance seems to be cut from the same cloth. Another Indie-Disco sureshot filtered through shades-lenses. But "Enough!" - seriously? The hereby summoned feelgood-vibe will surely leave you wanting more. And more you shall get. "Fade Out" opens up with a rather straight beat-pattern, but again, the synth-arrangements, the melodies and harmonies are pure bliss. And then there is "Poéme", that Frankophile floor-enchantment, shaped out in sophistication and elegance, throwing in some subtle Depeche Mode-references and taking the French leave as one of the strongest clubtracks in this batch. Closing things up is https://soundcloud.com/the-juan-maclean, giving "Enough!" a makeover that aims for the dancefloor as much as, let's say the hammock, infusing both, an irresistible groove and a laid back, almost Dub-like attitude.

Turbo Recordings presents hot new perspectives on Tiga Vs. Audion’s post-audience hit “This Is a Dream” from Brazil’s Terr and Russia’s Nocow.

“When it comes to exploring new possibilities for my music, you know I’m always DTI (Down to Imagine),” says Tiga. “That’s why I’ve always been so cool about remixes. In another context, if you second-guess me, I'll cut you down in a Montreal Minute. But remixes are about trust and creative freedom and submitting work on spec, so I’m willing to pretend I don’t have all the answers.”

Coming off killer releases for Erol Alkan’s Phantasy and Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant, Berlin-based artist Terr is now poised to be coming off a killer release for Tiga’s Turbo Recordings, stripping the original’s trance rave odyssey of all its Eurotopian excess. Meanwhile, new Turbo star Nocow’s “Nite” and “Days Gone” mixes add heartfelt vocals that create a new depth of listener engagement verging on emotional blackmail.

"Turbo remix packs are now the last remnant of cultural life,” adds Tiga, "Through careful planning and a significant injection of dark money, we have ensured that the supply chain of dark warehouse bangers and psychedelic after-hours interrogations will never be interrupted. Dancing in the Sound Factory, End-Up, Ice Factory, Mayan, Orbit, the Cat Club and the underground of LA. I threw undergrounds in downtown Los Angeles and ran a legal warehouse for four years. This is my beginning. It will never end.
