@sonale pronounced 'sun-(ar)-lee. A purveyor of the finest & funkiest breaks. Located on Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. He’s a mystical man, known for his contributions towards ichthyology (Shark & Fish studies). The surf breaks on his front door are now free from Great White attacks due to the vibrations of his sound design keeping the predators at bay. All in a day’s work for this local legend.

The fruits of his labour are present in his debut 4 track EP “It’s My Thing” Having done damage on Festival floors on the build-up to this release, these are finally making their mark in DJ sets across the globe.

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is back to drop another debut EP from the German producer duo Mined & Forrest consisting of Forrest Funk & Mined from Obba Select. They are both well-established names on their own with a large group of followers – known for their edits, mashups and funky DJ sets.

Inspired by classic funk, modern bass design and hiphop sampling they teamed up to bring their musical ideas together. Spending lots of time in the studio turning knobs and hitting keys, they now have a bunch of funky tunes ready to hit the dancefloors out there.

The EP kicks off with the groovy and catching title tune There It Is, which perfectly showcases their take on the ghetto funk sound. A steady beat with some clever hip hop samples and a great deal of musicality including a big middle passage of beautiful atmospheric sounds.  

On the next cut the duo takes us a little further back to the oldskool on the Funk Toxic banger. Toxic funky bass on a boom bap beat mixed with their chopped up hip hop vocal samples. 

Things are about to get serious on the 3rd jam on the EP which features Joker on the bass heavy Drugs tune. Heavy beats and big basslines is in center on this bad boy jam.

The title tune There It Is is finally getting the upmost funky party treatment from BBP’s very own Jayl Funk on the last track on the EP. A steady block rocking beat and twist up on the vocals is all it takes for Jayl Funk to make this his very own as he brings this EP home.

Following the chart success of Prosper & Stabfiner's funk fused 'Fire in Me' EP, we now have a full remix ep from a collective of great artists who find ways to deliver a new take on the tracks. Moving the sound on in a more electronic direction, all 4 remixes keep the funk at their core. First up on the EP is an expertly crafted moombahtonesque rework from the enigmatic Loo & Placido which fuses Georges Perin's vocal lines with heavy rhythm and infectious carnival vivbes. This is set to do damage on many a dance floor. Next up, AGFA & Trotter deliver a funky breaks and electronica rework of 'Drive By Pony' which is followed on by Kibosh who are not not happy to remix just the one track but fuse two two together to make 'Fire My Pony', a funk exploration that incoporates Kibosh's forward thinking funked out, bass glitch sound. Rounding off the package superbly are Loïs (fr) & Bruckie who bring together a relentless acid groove to compliment Ashley Slater's blues soaked vocals to create another infectious monster.

Kibosh makes a welcome return to Bombstrikes with two tracks that simply ooze with the funk. As always, the Aussie funk maestro has delivered the goods in his own inimitable style, keeping musicality high on the agenda whilst at the same time making things sound simple, which is no mean feat. First up 'Loopback' places horn stabs and vocals from Canadian legend Timothy Wisdom over funk guitar riffs and swinging bass grooves to pull the listener in, while the second track 'Fire' delivers a P-Funk-esque bass workout alongside elements of Jazz to devastating effect. Two tracks that walk the line between bass heavy goodness and funk perfectly and all done with a touch of class.

The one and only Krafty Kuts returns to Bombstrikes with an EP of absolute fire. Anyone tuning in to his weekly live streams will know that it takes more than a global pandemic to knock Krafty off his game and this latest release is testament to a true master at work. First up is a slice of Bass Funk perfection in the form of 'Step To This' which sees Krafty join forces with the prodigious DJ and producer: Dubra. Delivering a sonic bass assault that attacks with low down and deep frequencies paired with driving beats and a killer vocal. Title track 'Start Rockin' showcases the funk side of Krafty's sound, with toughened Hip Hop beats driving the groove and an infectious piano break. For 'Disco Sally' we move back into the mid-tempo electronic sound for an exquisitely produced track which perfectly blends electronica and P- Funk evoking keys. Finally, 'Deadly Pin' rounds off the EP nicely with party inducing horn and vocal hooks delivered with a firm eye on the dance floor. Four tracks of the quality you would expect from a true legend in the game exploring a few sides to his sound. Simply outstanding!

Krafty Kuts - Start Rockin'

DJ and Producer Dubra has been shaking dancefloors and causing bass-induced mayhem since 2006. What started as a passion for beats soon turned into an obsession, leading him to craft a unique sound that blends Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, and pure groove.

As 1/3 of the collective "KRATA" since 2022, Dubra and his crew have been making sure Latvia stays well-fed on Drum & Bass-infused Hip-Hop. Their work even landed them a Zelta Mikrofons nomination for the album Krata—proof that basslines and bars can go hand in hand.

But let’s rewind a bit: in 2016, Dubra joined forces with Arteo and got signed to Disco Cakes and Bomb Strikes, getting love from Featurecast, Stickybuds, Krafty Kuts, and other groove merchants.

2020 brought a Drum and Bass explosion with his EP Light on Westwood Recordings, plus the Krafty Kuts collab Step To This on Bomb Strikes. Then in 2021, they went full circle by remixing none other than hip-hop icon Chali 2na from Jurassic 5.

Fast forward to 2024, and Dubra dropped another banging EP, Stay—because he just won’t leave the scene alone.

And in 2025, the industry took notice (again), nominating him for the GAMMA Music Awards. Turns out, making bangers does get you places.

When he's not tearing up clubs, Dubra is shaping the next generation of DJs as co-founder and teacher at “Rīgas DJ skola”, because someone has to make sure the future sounds good.
