DJ Dway (born Dwalyiin Adkins-Cephas on March 2, 1985 in New Jersey) is a rising talent out of Fairfield, CT. His love for music began at a young age surrounded by the sounds of Soul, Old School Hip-Hop, Funk, House and Disco. Through the years, influenced by the talents of DJ Skribble, DJ Richie Rich, and Daft Punk, DJ Dway developed a taste for Remixes, Mashups, Mainstream Dance, Progressive House and EDM.

In his early years, his parents noticed his passion for music and encouraged him to pursue a DJ career, especially after listening to a few of his radio dubbed mix cassette tapes. In 1998, at age 12, he received his first piece of DJ equipment and started Mobile DJing at local house parties. 

In 2004, DJ Dway continued to DJ at local parties and bars; for two years, in Elmira working college events before returning to NJ where he traveled up and down the east coast. While back in NJ, he became well known for his work with cheerleading, announcing and DJing for CheerTech as well as mixing various team music. 

Today, DJ Dway has been working hard, mixing monthly EDM, House, Deep House, and Progressive House podcasts on Soundcloud (Soundcloud.com/DjDway) and TheFuture.FM (www.thefuture.fm/djs/dj-dway). He also has made various appearances around the New York City area DJing at local events and parties. His DJing list includes; Apple’s Fashion Night Out, Santo’s Party House, various JWT events, multiple NYC performing arts events, house parties, after parties and local bars and clubs. His musical craft consists of House, Mainstream Dance, Remixes and Mashups, but enjoys all types of music genres.
