This mix is dedicated to the warm up set, it's a set that many djs did for years had to prove themselves as the warm up dj and eventually move up the ranks to a closing set and finally one day the peak slot. If you were / are lucky enough to be a resident dj you know what i'm talking about . It really educated me on being a dj and forced me to learn so many styles of music. It also taught me about "edging" , yes edging. How to bring it up and bring it down and trusting a crowd would follow the ride and take a few wrong or right swift left turns....  because let's be honest if you don't clear the dance floor every now then ya not doing it right. haha This set was recorded in Naarm, 28/9/23 at Subclub and it was a pleasure to start the night , it brought many memories of always being the warm up dj  , Boney days ,  how much I love it and how the art of the warm up set is sometimes lost in the modern day clubbing. It will always be the most important set of the night because it sets the tone for the rest of the night and you get to really play some amazing music and watch the night unfold right in front of you. Here's to the pure ecstasy of watching people dance to slow jams. 
Best feeling in the world.

Locomotion is about DJ artistry, the creative process & storytelling with music. Every month, I invite someone for an all-night b2b DJ set and we go on a journey of spiritual grooves & futuristic rides, making you move like crazy.

The long set time allows us to play long tracks, not shying away from those 8-12min tracks, moving through emotions & genres like there are no boundaries.

Eileen draws on a deep appreciation for tracks that have soul with her late night selections that keep hips swaying into the morning light. From disco’s dancefloor bombs to motown’s unmissable melodies, she’s got all the deepest jams in town and she knows just how to lay them down. Taking up DJing soon after her relocation to Amsterdam, Eileen was drawn to the bright city lights and she hasn’t looked back since. Today she finds herself regularly soundtracking hazy nights in the city’s finest clubs and bars, keeping the midnight runners glued to the dance floor from dusk till dawn.
