Sunrise at Lowlands [17.8.24] - Live at ArmadiLLow

Op 18-jarige leeftijd begon Vos van der Noordt op het conservatorium als drummer (ArtEZ jazz en pop). Ondanks zijn liefde voor deze studie stopte hij in het derde jaar om zich volledig te richten op een nieuw, ambitieus avontuur: mot., een multidisciplinair collectief dat hij samen met Djoewe Walta in datzelfde jaar oprichtte.

Gedreven door zijn verlangen om samen te werken met andere kunstdisciplines, ontwikkelde hij met mot. thematische performances met muziek, film, spoken word, dans en theater. Dit leidde naar optredens op podia zoals Lowlands en Theater de Meervaart, en diverse festivals in Nederland en Duitsland. Na drie intensieve jaren besloot hij zich verder te verdiepen in de taal van verschillende kunstvormen en koos hij voor de studie Interactive Performance Design op de afdeling Theater van de HKU.

Hier studeerde hij af met het project ‘Move Surround'; een door hemzelf ontworpen muziekinstrument. Dit instrument stelt mensen in staat om zich via beweging en geluid op een unieke manier uit te drukken, zonder dat ze een muzikale of artistieke achtergrond nodig hebben. Het doel is om individuen en groepen de rol van creator te laten ervaren en samen te werken door middel van geluid en beweging.

Tegenwoordig speelt Vos in theatervoorstellingen, componeert hij muziek voor podcasts, films en audio-tours, en treedt hij op met zijn band Bobo Romo in Nederland, Duitsland, Oostenrijk en Portugal.

Eelco’s music has always been eclectic. He has been passionate about music from an early age, drawn to a wide range of sounds, from indie, rock, metal, jazz to hip-hop and drum & bass. But everything changed when he experienced his first AWAKENINGS techno party in Amsterdam over 20 years ago. That day, he had an epiphany! The pulsating energy, the hypnotic rhythms they were a calling.
From that moment on, he became addicted to the raw, driving force of Techno and Electro.
"The first time I stepped into a warehouse and FELT that hard bass, those hissing  sharp hi-hats, and the deep, hypnotic groove of proper Techno, I knew I had come home!"
