Greece-Cyprus Tour 2019 Aftermovie [Audio]

We would like to introduce you to our newest artist Two Eyes One Truth who is a producer and drummer from Italy. His sound is a funky mix of heavy drums, beautiful melodies and cinematic atmospheres that create an infectious groove that takes your mind to new soundscapes that have yet to be explored. 

Here you can read his own description for his music:

“I'm Simone Guizzo, aka Two Eyes One Truth. I am a drummer and my music for me is a tool to communicate with myself. My expressive pillar is rhythm. Each of my pieces stems from the need to give concrete form to an image, a memory or a past emotion. I like to use an ambiguous and often contradictory language to do so, which is an expression of a heterogeneous background. This includes many experiences in different bands, in the most disparate genres (from metal to pop), before moving on to electronics. 

My main source of inspiration is the London electronic music and breakbeat scene, in particular some Ninja Tune artists such as Amon Tobin, Bonobo, Tycho, Machinedrum, Lapalux, but also Burial, Jon Hopkins, Bicep, Ivy Lab. I like to be influenced by very different kinds of music, often seeking for dark shades and atmospheric sound design, as well as overpowering grooves or sophisticated rhythms.

I have a visual tendency, I frequently like to use cinematic nuances and I always associate my tracks with a particular situational or psychological context. I am constantly looking for a sound that is both powerful and melancholy at the same time.”

Recently had the joy of sharing two US dates in Santa Fe and the Bay Area with the Argentinian musical magicians @BarrioLindo and @ujitimebeing. This is my opening set and home-town welcome at Meow Wolf, Santa Fe, NM: delicious, slow, groovy.  Released as one half of a two-part Winter Solstice mix-tape celebration...a much-needed rejuvenation for navigating a challenging time.

I have been in love with this work of San Fran/New Mexico artist Lily Hussey since the moment I first saw it. If I could, I'd move there. I'm thrilled she agreed to lend me these incredible images for mixtapes/podcasts.

"I have always drawn my deepest inspiration from the desert landscape and ecosystem. After being away from the desert and returning back I realized how much I needed to maintain my connection. I started collaging mini portals to desert dream realities with the millions of photos I have taken of various desert landscapes across the West. I created these fantastical places to create a creative escape for myself. They are a space for me to get my creative mind running, to plug into the expansive knowledge of the desert. I hope they transport you to your most creative and fantastic reality."

Winter Solstice 2016: Opening for Barrio Lindo & Uji

In the year 1997, Nickodemus & Jay B met through friend & music fanatic Eddy Plenty. At the time, Nickodemus was DJ'ing at Organic Grooves & Giant Step parties & experimenting with sampling from his record collection from around the World. Jay B was writing music & experimenting with the latest in computer programming software. Their shared love for fat beats of soul, funk, trip hop, jazz from around the World was the common ground that made for a quick music making synergy. In the 1st year working together, they managed to make the following songs as well as a few remixes & unreleased beats that never made it off of the DAT recorder. We hope you enjoy these songs from the Brooklyn Beat Cave in 1997.

Erin E brings an ear for unique sounds to her energetic and genre-bending dj sets.  Integrating global gems with sometimes heavy, sometimes heavenly percussive and melodic force, she strips back dance music to something we all can relate to.  Constantly searching for the essence of the sound - be it deep & dub techno, electronic folklore, house or beyond- she cultivates a bassy dancefloor (and headphone) experience that transcends stereotype. 

She is a member of Team Everything, Santa Fe's dusty and loving techno creative team. She is currently working on an ongoing series of place-based 'immersive' mixes, created and performed in wild spaces alone or with a very small crew of intimate listeners.  

Based in Santa Fe, NM, Erin E loves, above all, creating the space for a transformative, positive experience through music and creative community.

Erin has played alongside as direct support for Chancha via Circuito, Nicola Cruz, Nicolas Jaar, El Buho, Random Rab, Monolake, Lusine, Uji, Lulacruza, Barrio Lindo, and many other collaborators and friends.
