PERSONAL LIFE

DJ Ferando was born in Adonis, Lebanon on April 8, 1982. He finished high school in 1999, and studied computer programming in Beirut. Ferando had always the dream to become a DJ and make people dance. At the age of 16, he joined Fame FM as a music editor and jingle-maker assistant with DJ Eddy, to begin playing on air after that. Starting out as a radio DJ, he progressed to the club scene for a three nights a week club DJ, learning and perfecting his craft. Ferando always strives for music production after experiencing the art of remixing, multitrack recording, sampling and sound collaging. Beatmaking was also one of his best music skills. He has always had an enthusiastic interest in music and technology. These interests combine perfectly for DJing but expand to encompass a whole range of possibilities including writing and recording dance tracks & music production. «I can feel the music running through my veins... I can't live without it!», he says.

Electronic Dance Music (EDM): DJ Ferando does many different types of gigs, from lounge bars to discothèques and nightclubs, although he prefers to play Electronic Dance Music at large events. His EDM archive consists of House (Progressive house, Electro house, Tech house, Funky house) and Trance (Progressive trance, Acid trance, Hard trance).
Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM): As a Middle Eastern-born fellow, he mixes very well most of all genres of Middle Eastern CCM like Arabic pop, Arabic electronica (Oriental Beats), Egyptian hip hop, Dabke, Khaliji, Raï, Sharki (Belly Dancing tunes), Oriental Lounge/Chillout, Iranian pop and Turkish pop. His CCM archive consists of music from countries like Lebanon, Egypt, Gulf countries, Turkey, India, Iran, Greece, and Morocco.
