@DJ-Koze-official remixes ’Sanba Yo Pran Pale’ from iconic Haitian band @Lakou-Mizik and Grammy Award-winning producer @JosephRayMusic (of NERO), released on @anjunadeep.

’Sanba Yo Pran Pale’ is Koze's first remix in two years and is typically eclectic. Reimagining the traditional Haitian Vodou song as a summer dance anthem, warping and stretching the original vocals from Lakou Mizik’s Sanba Zao onto a bed of catchy rhythmic synths and warm enveloping bass. Ten minutes long, the original mix has a nostalgic analogue warmth that feels perfect for an Indian summer’s day.

’Sanba Yo Pran Pale’ is the first track off Lakou Mizik & Joseph Ray’s album ‘Leave the Bones’, and is a traditional Haitian song steeped in Vodou tradition: "The Sanbas are the poets and keepers of Haitian history and culture. They pass on their wisdom through song and story. ‘Sanba Yo Pran Pale’ is an invitation to the Sanbas to speak their truth whilst paying respect to the Vodou ‘Lwa’ or spirits."

Wildfires Alex Session Refix - Sault

Born in the city of Santo Antônio de Jesus - Brasil, Fernando Mercês develops in his youth his taste for researching new sounds and creating his own playlists on K7 tapes. Influenced by several genres of the 80/90s such as classical music, Rock, Samba, Blues and MPB.
As a teenager already in contact with Disco Music, House, Dance and Techno, he attended the matinees of the extinct Oficina Dance nightclub, still in his hometown, further expanding his contact with Electronic Dance Music. He also frequented several clubs in the capital of Bahia, always following closely the work of DJs.

A music collector and with a good collection, he learned to DJ in Morro de São Paulo, where he lived for a few years. Today back in Salvador he dedicates his time to perfect his techniques and make his presentations, such as those of the Tropical Burn Festival, Bola 8 Party, Pick-Nick with DJs, Zero clubs, Bombar and other events.

He also keeps his podcast - Reverb up to date, with sets that present different ideas, a mirror of his musical taste.

Na adolescência já em contato com a Disco Music, House, Dance e Techno, frequentou as matinês da extinta boate Oficina Dance, ainda em sua cidade natal, ampliando mais seu contato com a Electronic Dance Music. Também frequentou diversos clubes da capital baiana, sempre acompanhando de perto o trabalhos dos DJs.

Colecionador de músicas e já com um bom acervo, aprendeu a discotecar em Morro de São Paulo, onde viveu por alguns anos. Hoje de volta a Salvador dedica o seu tempo a aperfeiçoar suas técnicas e realizar suas apresentações, como as do Festival Tropical Burn, Festa Bola 8, Pick-Nick com DJs, clubes Zero, Bombar e outros clubes/eventos.

Também mantém atualizado o seu podcast - Reverb, com sets que apresentam diferentes ideias, um espelho dos seu gosto musical.
