MKULT is presence, a state of mind achieved through sound— a transmission of higher consciousness through frequency and form. MKULT is Shelly Truman, a West Coast–based producer and performer from Port Townsend, Washington and Tonopah, Nevada. An architect of atmosphere and emotion, Truman merges analog and digital worlds through trance-induced production, shaping sound as a state of being.
Her compositions move through techno, electro, drum and bass, ambient, dark wave, synth-pop, and cinematic downtempo, blending glitch, artifact, atmosphere.
