"Burning Man DJ and regular contributor of soundtracks for MTV mongst others DJ FM recently unleashed his new album ‘Last Man Standing’ through iTunes. A collage of rock instruments and electronic grooves, The LP’s content contains mostly very melodic and relatively laidback textures with a progressive twist, with tracks such as ‘Rage Blackout’ and ‘Dreamstate (2013 Remix Re-edit)’ injecting a shot of high-tempo rave rhythms to the overall. Nearly every track is tailored for the dancefloor: some of the tracks are clearly written from a songwriters perspective, while others feature a more traditional approach to electronic music. ‘Last Man Standing’is a fairly diverse and atmospheric piece of work remarked by nifty sound layering and a solid overall composition, and a solid pick if you’re looking for deeply melodic and hypnotizing cuts." DJ FM has been a part of the southeast EDM scene for close to 20 years. As a DJ he’s played from Baltimore to Burning Man. As a musician he's performed his original electronic music with a live band and frequently incorporates live instruments into his DJ sets. He's produced over 90 songs, instrumentals and remixes, and even had his original tracks used on MTVs Real World, Road Rules, The Hills and Making The Band. His latest single "Halo (feat. Julia Vo) was featured and shared on Dancing Astronaut, the biggest EDM blog His most recent LP, “Last Man Standing,” as well as a remastered version of his first EP “Breakup” (1998) are available now on iTunes and Spotify. From 2010-2013, FM was resident DJ for Revolution Raleigh at Lincoln Theatre, the first monthly *cirque-themed* EDM party in the Triangle area with average attendance of 400+. FM also DJs Mardi Gras at Castle McCulloch in High Point twice a year, and the Couture For A Cause/Shop For Good fashion show in Raleigh to benefit Activate Good.
