Berlin's Deckert is back on remix duty with 'Gloom', marking an unusual intercultural crossover experiment with the original track produced by the cinematic south german post-rock project Six Days Of Calm. The allover melancholy and the wide pads of the source were preserved, while Deckert added dancfloorworthy drums, an analog fender precision bassline plus a catchy hook-line.

A debut Bleach Cult album "Summertime Whiteout" - the quirky ambient pop record that fantasizes about 1960s surf culture and romanticizes the never-ending dilemmas of teen life - got seven versatile interpretations from diverse Partyzanai comrades. Ement transformed "A Coke With Hollie" into a rockabilly dancefloor sweat version, while Five Rituals duo converted the same song into a broken deconstructed club track. Sound designer Shkema took as usually a slow groove "mushroom" house approach and Zoe Zoe created an AI-based leftfield vocal version. Black Feeling transformed "Acid Shades" into a balleric dancefloor tune and Mart created a dreamy guitar-synths version of "Kenny". Finally, Alex Krell adapts "Neon sugar" into a true rave-ish anthem.

Forthcoming on Cititrax is Amato's new EP, charmingly titled, "Le desordre et la nuit". Amato is a new moniker of The Hacker who is best known for his powering techno and noise production. This EP sees him emulate such tastes in a slightly more melodic, electro based fashion.

There's nothing particularly virtuous about being prolific, but the fact that Berlin-based American techno producer Matrixxman continues to regularly turn out high-quality releases for the likes of Ghostly International and Dekmantel while also partaking in a number of collaborations and somehow contributing to the new Depeche Mode album is a truly impressive feat. His latest offering is 'Deep Mind,' an EP for Henning Baer's young Manhigh Recordings label. The record won't be released until May 15, but the hypnotically thumping "Beacon" debuted on Red Bull Radio's First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.

Mannequin Records is proud to announce the release of the Miami 80's synth/goth heroes Life in Sodom, with the repress of their rare first 12'' single "The Stains". This extended edition includes a bonus track - 'Phantasmagoria'- and a friendly dancefloor cut of the title-track by the label head Alessandro Adriani. 

Conceived by vocalist Gerrie Brand, the band was starting out as performance art, and quickly became more as Gerrie surrounded himself with some of the best musicians from the club and art scene in South Florida, including our dear Mystic Bill, who was playing the guitar with the band in the early stages.

Originally self-released in 1991, the single "The Stains" became an underground club hit and charted on many college radio stations, in both the extended and the original version. The single was distributed as a hard to get promo only release. The repress contains also the title-track of the single “Phantasmagoria" - another cult tune for early 90's goth djs - originally released in 1992. Mega tip!
