My full cover of this Machine Head track.

Drums were transcribed with some humanising added, using the original drum track as reference. Made an approximation of Dave McClain's kit and reinforced the shells with Slate samples.

Bass recorded with an Ibanez SR305 through a DI and Sansamp blend.

Guitars recorded with an Ibanez Prestige RG2570Z with DiMarzio Crunch Lab and LiquiFire pickups. Rhythm parts quad tracked using both the red and green channels on the 6505, recorded through a Marshall 1960AV and Shure SM57.

Isolated vocal track used, presumably originally from Guitar Hero or Rock Band, hence why the swearing is absent.

Storming his way back onto Drumcode Luigi Madonna closes off the Summer with a four track smasher that will see him welcome in Autumn with a bang. Each track contains the solid, raw drums that are the backbone to each track Luigi has conjured up. With a brooding undertone, the simplicity found in each track gives the lead lines and ideas more space to breath, which overall creates a unique and charismatic submission that can only be found from the Italian.

Nikolaos Pappas, Aka Junior Pappa is not a new comer in the Greek Electronic scene.

Since the late 90’s, the Thessaloniki kid didn’t stop to play everywhere in the country, warming for big names, organising parties, and finally decides to run his own club “the Real Rock n’ Rolla. On the production side, nothing here is about sirtaki, but you sometimes can clearly recognize some of his spicy roots, combined to sweating Tech House. Known for his classic bootlegs from Celeda, Martin Landsky or Danny Tenaglia, Nikolas deliver here what he calls “Big Floor Fillers for hungry dancers”

Tros EP, is a 3 dancefloor tools, traducing a particular taste for syncoped basslines, and catchy beats without any complexity. Between salt & pepper, the Greek cook pretends nothing more, nothing less: Effectiveness. 

In the end you will find a Beasty Remix who introduces an upcoming & rising Acid House duo: The Clark Kents. Max & Stan are long time friends that are living in London & Paris. For their first release ever, they produced an alternative version from “Take it Or Leave it”, bringing on their particular taste for dirtiness and early Chicago House grooves. A name to have a close look at, as far their first EP is waiting in the kitchen, ready to be served hot.

At the moment, Tros EP could be the most wanted record in Greece.
Understand: This is made for big rooms.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

"Born in Portugal, Goncalo M started his DJ career at the early age of 19 after being strongly influenced by electronic music at that time.
Since then Goncalo has built up an admirable reputation after playing in venues and Festivals all over Europe, South America and Asia.
His sets have been described as electric and energetic, his style is dynamic, full of percussion and he keeps things very groovy and hard.
Watch him play and you’ll see he applies all his passion for music, from the first moment he steps behind the decks right through to the end.
In 2002 he started his career in production after seeing 4 of his tracks released on a compilation CD included with Portuguese Dance Magazine ‘Dance Club’.
Driven to put more into the Techno scene, in 2004 Goncalo started his won Techno label “Intuition Recordings Pt”, in 2013 he founded a new label called “Global Techno Movement Records, both labels has held top spots in the Techno charts releasing quality Techno music.
Recently Goncalo has had releases on the world’s premier Techno labels."
