This is a track I love from years ago.Shortly after I first heard it, I began to improvise on my clarinet while the song rolled.This is what was eventually birthed.I eventually reworked the ending entirely and that picks up around the 6:08 mark.I added a good deal of my own production, keeping the drums from the original intact.Respect to the Lemon Jelly guys for the great song!

While on holiday at the beginning of last year, it dawned on me that although I’ve been playing in LA since the early ‘90’s, I’d never done an open to close set here. And over the years I’ve watched as my good friend Kobi Danann has transformed Sound Nightclub into THE definitive clubbing experience in the city; carefully studying the variety of DJs who come thru its doors and meticulously tweaking every aspect of the venue. So naturally at the end of that epic all nighter we decided to make it a yearly tradition.

Hey everyone, this week I have something very special for you.  It’s a Deep Dish set from Pacha Ibiza last year, where Dubfire and I played for the 20th anniversary of Deep Dish at Pacha.  The night was hosted by Hot Since 82’s Labyrinth residency and we had an amazing time.  If you don’t know, we are reuniting this month for both weekends of Coachella and a special open to close set at Sound in Los Angeles.  I hope to see you there. Decided to record a breaks set as I had been collecting a few recently, and didn't want a 90s track to stand out as being obviously old when listening to it. Obviously had to include one of my favourite tracks of all time from Essay - Archangel. So good I stalked him down and made him come to my party 🤣 Thank you Simon, still so beautiful ❤❤❤ I hope the music makes up for the dodgy pun and you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording this 😁 x

Corona has of course put my touring life on hold, nevertheless I have tried and turn the lockdown into a positive time and reached some fellow artist to collaborate on music and utilize the time to stay productive and enjoy the country side where I am currently based.

🗯🗯 Do you have any wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

I do hope things will go back to normal of course although I also wish our industry would take a fresher start and open up to what’s great rather than what’s known for being known. So much grand breaking music out there that doesn’t break through because playing safe has been the leitmotiv of our industry for too many years. I believe this is a time of change and we shall push towards the deeper and forward thinking.
