One of techno's most respected artists, Alan Fitzpatrick has showcased his unique sound on some of the most prestigious electronic labels including Drumcode, Rekids, Hot Creations and FFRR. In his latest offering, the versatile producer explores his more underground side.

The track's aggressive energy delivers a peak time assault that blends dark atmospherics with a thundering kick drum. Its industrial percussion and ominous bassline are joined by a breakbeat loop that shakes up the groove. Hypnotic and menacing, this peak time track aims directly at the dance floor.

Dark Temple is the debut vinyl release of AVIVX, a young and talented queer DJ and producer. Born in Kazakhstan, AVIVX moved to Georgia a few years ago and has held several DJ residencies in the clubs of Tbilisi and Batumi.

He attended the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo at the age of 21, where his original music was described as distinctly unique, blurring the lines between East and West.His DJ sets oscillate between Chicago house, New Beat, Italo, trance, techno old and new, generating a vortex of playful queer techno euphoria.

After a couple of digital releases, Dark Temple is AVIVX's first release on vinyl. On the 4 tracks, the melancholic Eastern vibes and melodies are woven into a thick energetic house blanket. The sound is irresistible, resulting in a warm and uplifting trance.

Release Info: 
microcastle's third offering of 2022 finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Ivory's 'Light Through Water'. Released in December of 2020, the five-track artist showcase was a portrait of our time, as well as the state of club music, in that the truest art is that without boundaries. It's a vision that has led Italian producer Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory to projects via Exit Strategy, Innervisions, Sum Over Histories and more. Recorded in his home of Milan, 'Light Through Water' continued Daniel's mission to create bold synthesizer symphonies from the tools of the club, but with an even keener lean towards aspirational optimism. Played by Ame, Dixon, Toto Chiavetta, Innellea, Trikk and more, it was a project that was born out of and revels in the creative spirit. Moving forward to its reimagination, it seems only natural that a community of like-minded artists in Auggie, Colossio, Ditian and Shiffer, should transform the release in their own essence.

Making his label debut and providing the lone interpretation of 'Stream Machine' is Auggie. The Italian artist and Volt resident first emerged in 2020 with releases via Borders of Light and MoBlack. Currently calling Milan home, Auggie's colourful creative vision and exacting design would quickly summon the praise of electronic music tastemakers Dixon, Frankey & Sandrino and Toto Chiavetta, leading him to projects via Innervisions, ISOLATE and Sum Over Histories. 2022 has yielded further successes for Auggie, with a renewed focus on the dance floor as evidenced by a titanic take on Tal Fussman's 'Survival Tactics'. Bringing that same energy to 'Stream Machine', Auggie takes inspiration from the monolithic original, remodeling the track into a maniacal slice of malevolent machine-funk techno. Complete with striking vocal fragments, hyperactive rhythms and a forest of prophetic designs, it's an adrenalized energy-rush for the ages - one where Auggie lands sounding heavier than ever.

Senses Of Mind is a hybrid duo with a multi-disciplinary approach that simultaneously coexists in the digital and physical realms. 

Now we see them making their return on their own Untold Stories imprint with their brand new single Spoetnik, some nine months after their well received Lapis Lazuli album. Compared to their usual releases, Spoetnik leans a bit more towards the techno side of things.
Driving and pulsating from the get go, staccato elements are introduced giving it a bit of a minimal techno vibe, but before you know it the guys have cleverly turned into a melodic flavour to give it that typical Senses Of Mind vibe.

Spoetnik is one of those songs that sticks with you. It’s unique, recognizable and without a doubt massively effective on the dance floor.
