Hallo zusammen, es gibt eine neu gemasterte Version. Ich habe das eigentlich für mich privat gemacht, damit ich das selbst einfach besser anhören kann. Ich habe inhaltlich nichts geändert und es fällt nur im A/B-Vergleich auf, aber die Version ist etwas lauter und ein wenig räumlicher. 
Aber wirklich ganz, ganz dezent. Ich wollte, dass der Track etwas besser in aktuelle Playlists passt. Ist aktuell in den Spotlights oder direkt hier zu erreichen.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead who’s legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

The new Intec release is from Darren Emerson who many will instantly recognise as being an original member of iconic Underworld, and played a large role in the making of their anthems such as Born Slippy, Cowgirl and Rez.

Darren Emerson left Underworld at the peak of their popularity to follow his solo career, and over the last three decades he has been one of the most influential producers and DJ’s in electronic music.

He has collaborated with the likes of Sasha, Depeche Mode, Björk and The Chemical Brothers as a solo producer, and travelled the globe to headline festivals plus DJ in the world’s best known clubs.

Having also compiled mix CD’s for brands like Global Underground and featured on the front cover of many a music magazine, Darren Emerson is one of the most iconic figures in electronic music’s history, and fully deserved of his legendary status within the House and Techno genres.

“Deadlock” centres around the bubbling acid of a Roland TB-303 to provide the tracks driving force. Fast flowing hi-hats and clap rhythms provide extra momentum, whilst a rising vocal pad adds some subtle euphoria. Packed with atmosphere, this dancefloor focused track is peak time Techno at its best.

“Deadlock (Pure Acid Dub)” does exactly what the title suggests and provides a stripped back version of the original, where some of the parts are stripped back for the raw acid to take complete control. Darker and even more ferocious, this provides an alternative version for those who like their acid rough and ready!

“Catch 22” is led by a pulsating lead synth and tearing percussion which rips through the speaker. The groove has tribal elements brought to life with chanting vocals, which complement the melody part that squeaks pops and bursts with an underlying funk. The track fuses old school sounds with modern production to create timeless Techno.

Serotonin Records’ epic odyssey to bring endless funk to the world has again found a deep vain of grooves to mine. 
 
Having all the features of a Serotonin classic, SER024 Neurotic Drum Band - The Last Parabola / Ulysses - Palefinger is a 3-track split EP with loops/locked-grooves on the vinyl. 
 
Neurotic Drum Band’s Last Parabola arcs upwards from an earthly base of machine funk and launches through the atmospheric layers to stellar reaches of the cosmic void (well, as far into the cosmic void that was reachable from the comfort and safety of their music studio/living room couch, at any rate). 
 
Ulysses provides two perspicacious* takes on the Serotonin vibe.  Shiny Destruction drives and drifts, balancing melancholy and random angular twists. The airtight yet sultry groove of Palefinger slides along swiftly with caustic undertones. *having a ready insight into and understanding of things. 
 
 
As the Neurotic Drum Band, veteran producers Elliot Taub aka Ulysses and John Selway combine their formidable talents to keep dance music fun, mixing elements of classic House, Disco, Techno, Electro and random audio weirdness into a genre-defying mish-mash that excites the ears and tickles the fancy. 

When it comes to new music from Ulysses, you never know what you're going to get. His productions span across genres. His love of obscure Disco and Techno led to experiments in the studio, toying with disparate sounds such as noise, pop, rock-n-roll, ambient, reggae, blues, funk, electro, new wave and hard techno, with every release delivering an exciting musical surprise. An essential pioneer of the late-‘90s electro scene in New York, Ulysses threw some of the biggest large-scale electro parties with legends such as Alexander Robotnick and Arthur Baker, as well as stars like I-f, Adult, and Miss Kittin and the Hacker.  Over the span of his eclectic discography, this Brooklyn-based DJ and music producer has collaborated with many including Thugfucker’s Holmar Filipsson as Filipsson & Ulysses and of course with John Selway in the somewhat prolific Neurotic Drum Band.

Kretz Profile : 
Kretz, born in Stockholm and raised on the island of limestone (Gotland) has a long history in the music industry. Started off making music on the C64, Atari and Amiga for various hacker / cracker / demoscene groups, the spark of electronic music was born. I have been involved with a lot of record labels / companies around the world (Svek, Loop records, Skint Records, Good looking, Mo’wax, React, Paper Recordings, Why Not, Reco-Nice, Plump House, Sub-Stance to name a few) in business or production. Production wise I have done everything from deep underground techno, acid jazz, trip-hop to ex hippies playing the sitar. Schooled on the analog scene with classic analog waveform creation to reel to reel recording. 
I have a past as a record company A&R and as a label manager. With a heart for the electronic music i now release under 3 different names: Anode, Rex 42 and finally Kretz.
