THE EUROPHONIC MUSIC SYSTEM is the weirdest and most complex album I've composed so far. I worked on it since early 2017 and still have a hard time describing its sound. It’s an album that consists more of anomalies rather than melodies. Everything feels broken, out of control, yet strangely beautiful and mesmerizing as all the chaos in each track rearranges itself to one immersive listening experience. I experimented relentlessly with new textures and strange grooves that a lot of times I didn’t know if it was still music I was working on. The entire album feels like a walk through an obscure labyrinth that will reward the repeat listener.
The entire record can be broken down into three distinct chapters. Tracks like “PRESS PLAY And Start With the Magic” or “Magnetic Sounds Bursting Through As The Signal Is Struggling To Resolve Itself” instantly catch your attention at the very beginning of the album. Their broken-down, machine-like sounds and relentlessly marching on rhythms never let you go.
The middle of the album enters a more laid-back, meditative state of mind with mood-driven tracks like “All The Everlasting Ghosts” or “The Unraveling Of Your Fragmented Mind”. The album considerably gains momentum with its final set of tracks, like the hard-hitting “Justice For The Weeping Grounds” or its grand finale “The Haunting of the Woodlands”.
