Pullin from the Stacks Episode 228 - Tina Turner RIP and more

Cambridge, MA; all original music, composed from the 1990s onward & lots of original electronic sound design. After losing everything to hurricane Katrina, including a well stocked home studio and an arsenal of guitars and other stringed instruments,  and surviving a nearly fatal (and ultimately chronic) illness, I started making electronic music on the PC. Lately I'm going back to alternative rock, post punk, and power pop after decades of doing only electronic music so I'm using ai to reimagine how some of my synth work and older tunes will sound when performed with guitars and vocals, while I recover all my gear and relearn how to play. These songs are still my creation though, not the usual slop. No, it's my own homegrown slop lol. I've only used ai to save myself some time when I start recording my own playing and singing.

Born 1976 in a tiny village in the south of Germany. 1988 I started digging and collecting music. My first influences were bands like Run DMC, Public Enemy, EPMD, 2 Live Crew...and the whole Breakdance stuff.
But I heard also AC/DC, Guns 'N Roses, Metallica, Queen...By the time I expanded my musical tastes. Punkrock, Ska, House, D'nB were announced, but my secret passion was Hip Hop. I like dirty, rough and dull beats.
And I love Beastie Boys, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Q-Tip, Common, Peanut Butter, MF Doom, GZA...
In January 2013 I began creating music with a computer program (Magix Music Maker).
It might not perfect, but it's fun and I do my best...
