SUNLIONDREAD MUSIC is an independent reggae collective rooted in the spirit of roots reggae, raggamuffin, and conscious sound. Born to spread messages of love, resistance, and spiritual awareness, the group is made up of six talented musicians who blend their backgrounds and musical passions into one powerful sonic experience.

Israel Velasco – Drummer: The heartbeat of the group. His tight rhythms and vibrant energy lay down the solid foundation of every track, fusing classic reggae grooves with urban intensity.

Jonathan – Bassist: The provider of deep, heavy bass lines that drive the groove and soul of the band. His playing brings weight and warmth to the music.

Jesús – Guitarist: With his rhythmic and melodic guitar work, he adds harmony and depth, capturing the rebel soul and meditative vibe of roots reggae.

David – Keyboardist: Creator of ambient and uplifting textures. His keys bring the atmospheric layers that transport listeners into the heart of the sound.

Hussein Sharif – Lead vocalist & producer: The voice and creative force behind the band. His lyrical flow blends roots reggae and raggamuffin, delivering conscious messages with emotion and strength. He also handles the band’s production and artistic direction.

Technical & creative team – The essential crew that supports recording, mixing, visual content, and live performances, completing the independent spirit of SUNLIONDREAD MUSIC.


From its beginnings, SUNLIONDREAD MUSIC has been driven by passion, unity, and purpose. Every performance and production carries their core message: music with soul, lyrics with truth, and a rhythm born from the heart.

Hussein Sharit Velasco Medina, de nacionalidad venezolana, es cantante, compositor y productor de los géneros Reggae, Raggamuffin y fusiones urbanas. Con una voz auténtica y un estilo que conecta con las raíces del reggae, combina ritmos clásicos con influencias modernas, logrando un sonido único y poderoso.

Es el creador de la agrupación SUNLIONDREAD MUSIC, un proyecto musical independiente que busca llevar un mensaje de conciencia, energía positiva y resistencia cultural a través de la música.

Actualmente residenciado en Lima, Perú, Hussein continúa trabajando en nuevas producciones, presentaciones y colaboraciones, expandiendo el alcance de su propuesta musical en la escena latina.
