Funky Freaks Records is a French psytrance label created in 2013.
This is the consecration of a group of friends who share the same desire, to contribute to the underground psytrance scene bringing its stone to the building of its universe while adding a pinch of funkydelic to it.
So welcome to our take on reality, welcome to the theater of freaks !
Our sounds it's an invitation to re-experience your senses more subtly and profoundly.
We invite you to get fully immersed in our madness frequencies, which is going to allow you to explore your inner/out senses on a whole different level, being able to get in touch with the deepest corners of your existing experience.
Our philosophy is to keep trying to experiment with sounds to stimulate your brains and bodies, to bring out the beast in you, push the limits of your mind, and explore the vast and mystical inner and out universe we all have.

From the countryside of Brazil emerges LULiO , a project formed by brothers Luciano and Julio. LULiO is based on a multidimensional quantic 
equational madness.

Ataro is the sonic avatar of Farhad Ataroditehrani, hailing from the Persian lands of Tehran, residing in London England as of 2005.
The project was conceived around 2009, exploring the darker realm of psychedelic trance, comprising a unique blend of heavy basslines, groovy percussive parts, emotional atmospheres, cutting edge sound design, and influences from his native Iran.
His restless musical mind spawned a few side projects; in 2010 Civil Disobedients with Conrad, and shortly after, a dark prog project called Ashtoz with Babak (aka Akōman).
He’s due to unleash this year a new project with Akōman called Angra Minu on DarkWeb Records.
In the last 12 years he played some of the biggest stages around the world including the infamous Psycrowdelica, Modem, Master of Puppets, Hadra festivals.
He released dozens of tracks on many notable labels like Free Radical Records, Damaru, Freak Records, Alice-D, Temple Twisters, Hadra Recs, to name but a few. His album Annihilation was released in 2018 on Freak records.
Ataro is also a founding member of the Intersomnia and Peaking Duck Collective party organisations in London as well as the newly formed label DarkWeb Records.

Marciana is the second DJ project from Back to Mars.

Marcia started playing Psytrance as Back to Mars in 2001, but soon after also started playing sets in many alternative styles. She began with Lounge & Psybient, Brazilian music and World Music, but quickly also incorporated Tech-House, Deep House, Techno, Psy-Tech, Psy-Breaks and also NuJazz, Soul, Funk and Jazz.

Recently it became a natural development to create a separate project to represent these styles and Marciana was created! Under this project she is now representing Electric Power Pole Records.

She has performed in many Amsterdam locations like Siberie, Kashmir Lounge, Nomads, Supperclub Cruise, Little Buddha, Kokopelli, Roest, Blijburg, Pllek and also at parties and festivals like Magneet, Club Lite, Bevrijdings Festival, MoDem, O.Z.O.R.A., Own Spirit, Gaggalacka and Psy-Fi. For a while she organized the Bite nights at the Korsakoff in Amsterdam, where many DJ's were invited to play Techno and Tech House.

Being an eclectic DJ in any style that she plays, this lady likes to play the Marciana sets since they are fun. With so mush good music being released all around, why make choices?

Sarah Naima grew up in an old hippi environment and extraordinary musical family, these love and sensitivity for the music came quite early in her life.
Already at the age of 6 she started playing keyboard and since then her passion for music grew steady. 

In the year 1996 she came in touch with electronic music for the first time.
Since then she has been following many different styles in the electronic scene with big enthusiasm until she made the experience of a Psychedelic- Trance Party in the year 2003.

She was instantly hooked with this scene and she fell deeply in love with the music, the energy and all these inspiring, magical places and people surrounding her.

Naima started her journey as a DJ seriously 2009, in her sets she symbolize psychedelic sounds, mystical & powerful deep tunes for colourful nights or energetic mornings.

The style and the kind of music she chooses for her Sets depends on the atmosphere and energy around but also on the setting and at which time she plays.

During the last years Naima grew as an international DJ,and she has performed on various international Parties and some of the best Festivals all around the world like BOOM Festival - Portugal, Ozora Festival - Hungary, Universo Parallelo - Brasil,Hadra Trance Festival - France,Experience - Thailand, Midnightsun Festival - Norway, MoDem Festival - Croatia, Psy FI Festival - Netherlands, Antaris, Freqs of Nature, Waldfrieden,VuuV - Festival - Germany, Blackmoon Festival -Italy, Solstice Festival - Netherlands, Transahara - Marocco, One Love - Switzerland, Kosmos Festival - Finnland,Yaga Gathering - Lithuania,, Galaxy Evolution Festival - India,Belantara - Malaysia,Spiritual Ritual Festival- Nepal.
