Born and raised in Sinaia, a small famous Romanian mountain town, believes that the next quote is very representative for him as well as for every music lover „Without music, life would be a mistake” (Friedrich Nietzsche)

The very first time I felt true fervor for music was in 1996 when I started to collect and listen as much music as I could. I found out later that it was that moment when I have chosen this way, when I have decided to devote my life to the music. So the very next move was to start playing music as a DJ, step by step, in several clubs.

In 1997, I began to collaborate with Radio 21and another level came to light with a brand new perspective on my life. As a fresh member of the Radio 21 team, at first I was a DJ and then a local station manager. Next, I strengthened my professional background working with Radio Brasov, Mix FM and Radio 21 Bucharest.

My first approach with quality house music was when I played as a resident DJ in OFFICE Club Predeal & Bucharest, a pioneer in Romanian clubbing industry. During my residency in OFFICE Club I had the chance to experience the true vibes of house music for which I developed a great taste and passion. It was there I got to be known as “DJ SMILEY” because everybody was absolutely astonished by me being so serious while mixing and so they couldn’t help calling me “smiley”.

In 2005, I breathed the air of morning parties in a legendary after-hours club called SUGAR where I had the opportunity to play beside most of the top Romanian DJ's and since then I became addicted to after-hours parties.

After that, I had several residencies to other after-hours clubs like Posh, Gossip, Metropolis, Barocco and Shade Club. Between spinning the records there, I had gigs in all major cities from the mountains to the sea, and everywhere there are appropriate conditions for a good performance.

Meanwhile, I am the fashion show music producer and after parties DJ for Fashion TV Romania.

In my sessions I like to include and explore top quality house music in order to gather the people on the dance floor and make them feel united. My mixing approaches are a combination between passion, human empathy and fine taste and gather all afro house, organic house, afro tech, melodic house techno, old school house.

After two long years of absence from the underground music scene, at the same time with the beginning of 2011, I am ready to come up with new music projects like a radio show, a new residency, promoting parties and events and the last but not least I am thinking about touching seriously the side of producing and try my luck to a record label.

Not willing to bore you with more details, I will let you discover the new me  and looking hopefully to keep following my vibes because the future has never been so close!

Electronic music is a part of my entire life since I went with 18 to the first love parade in Berlin Germany’s capital city of techno.
Few years later with about 20/21 I bought my first turntables and quite short time after my first CD player and a mixer.
Since there it’s a passion to mix actual sounds with old school tracks. 
Since a few years my absolute favorite music lays in genres like Afrohouse, Deephouse, Techhouse, melodic Techno and Progressive.

My first club experience I made with late 20th. Now I’m 40 and a family dad of 3 beautiful girls in ages of 13, 8 and 2 1/2, which doesn’t changes my interest of music and djing.
I’m still playing in clubs in Germany and Egypt.
